The singer-songwriter announces headline dates celebrating his debut album

Born in Oxfordshire in 1993, singer-songwriter Rhys Lewis found early inspiration in guitar legends such as Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and James Taylor, picking up the instrument after seeing his own dad play the blues. Citing Carole King, Bruce Springsteen, Bill Withers and their ilk as favourites, Rhys began to incorporate their timeless songwriting into his work. Following a stint in his brother's band, performing covers at weddings, and three years studying at the London Centre Of Contemporary Music, Rhys would draw on Arctic Monkeys' vocalist and primary songwriter Alex Turner's unique approach to storytelling to inform his own work, first releasing original music under Rhys Lewis & The Relics.

Motivated by the vibrant Oxford music scene, and spurred on by his desire to capture moments and memories in sound, Rhys Lewis – now without The Relics – unveiled his major label debut EP in 2018, releasing Bad Timing through the internationally renowned Decca Records. The EP followed a handful of singles, including his 2016 track Waking Up Without You and an early version of Be Your Man the following year, a song Rhys re-released in 2019.

In 2018, Rhys Lewis unveiled mainstream breakthrough No Right To Love You, joining his catalogue to date in reaching well into the millions of global streams. Written around 2015, Rhys has since credited the song as a breakthrough in his writing, praising its lyrical honesty.

Rhys Lewis followed his debut EP with In Between Minds in 2019, featuring favourites Better Than Today and Things You Can't Change. The success of his work led him to tour alongside fellow British rising stars JP Cooper and James TW, as well as to sell out his own UK, mainland Europe and United States headline shows.

In 2020 he announced his debut full-length, Things I Chose To Remember, released later that year in July. The album was recorded entirely on analogue tape, a testament to Rhys' desire to capture moments in time through his creativity and open lyricism. The same month of the album release, Rhys Lewis announced a 2021 headline UK tour, kicking off in Cardiff on 8 May 2021 and culminating with an appearance at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on 27 May 2021.
