About

Rewind is back but, as David Bowie sang, there are a few ‘ch-ch-ch-ch-changes’ for 2025.

Rewind South in its full glory will take place, as usual, at Temple Island Meadows in Henley-on-Thames from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 August with a line-up to be announced in the New Year.

Rewind South will also see a full schedule of acts for the Pink Flamingo and River Stage, the return of the Silent Disco, ‘When Nature Calls,’ funfair rides, kid-zone with entertainment for the little Rewinders, shops and stalls for jewellery, t-shirts, food and drink, plus all your usual camping requirements. Early bird tickets will be on sale at 09:00, Friday 18 October.

And… drumroll please… 2025 sees the launch of Rewind Dreamland in Margate, Kent as a one-day event on Saturday 14 June, and over in Ireland we’ll be partying with Rewind Dublin on Sunday 1 June and Rewind Cork on Saturday 21 June. Full line-ups to all the Rewind shows above will be announced very soon – we promise we won’t 'Keep You Hangin’ On' for long!

Unfortunately Rewind Scotland is taking a sabbatical next year, (but watch out for future announcements) and Rewind North will also not take place in 2025. Capesthorne Hall have undertaken a review of their events and wedding business strategy and decided that, due to an upturn in the demand for wedding bookings in July and August, they can no longer be a home for Rewind or any large-scale camping Festivals for 2025 or the foreseeable future.

We know many of you will be disappointed with this news, but we’re sure you’ll join us in thanking Scone Palace in Perth and Capesthorne Hall in Macclesfield for their hospitality and support over the past, fantastic Rewind years.

Keep an eye out for ticket news, updates and more announcements – and keep those big, wonderful Rewind smiles for us all to see next year!

*Line-up stated is for Rewind South only*

  • Great for the vibe, but sorely lacking in many areas.

    by Ace1165 on 19/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 4 out of 5

The music part is great and it's a fun weekend, but when you pay a premium for a campervan ticket and you arrive early to be told you're being put in a holding field with little organisation for two hours, apparently as a punishment, it really took the edge off. This was made worse by being told by staff manning the campervan area that they had been twiddling their thumbs waiting for people for 4 hours. In previous years we just waited in an orderly queue with no issues for anyone. Very disappointing. Drinks overpriced and low quality but no change there.

  • Good lineup, poor sound

    by TBK on 19/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 3 out of 5

Rewind had a really good lineup which was let down by very poor sound from the main stage. When artists were talking to the crowd we couldn't hear what they were saying and when they started singing it felt like the volume was set to low - unfortunately feeling more like a picnic than a music festival!

  • Rewind South Organisers need to improve

    by Timbo on 19/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 4 out of 5

Fab weekend of music as usual, but organisers created some unnecessary issues: 1. Reduced the number of toilets so massive queues for toilets 2. There were no litter pickers or any bins at the sides towards the front so litter everywhere 3. Friday night parking moved fields event though there were nothing in the closest parking field (there were camper vans earlier, but had all gone). So everyone had to walk right round the perimeter of festival....and disabled parking was the furthest away.... 4. Massive queues on Saturday could have been avoided with more lanes and crowd management to speed up the lines. 5. Need more park benches near the food outlets for the number of people lots of people eating on the floor, so lucky the weather was so good.

  • Amazing!!!

    by Retepetite on 19/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 5 out of 5

Had an absolute fantastic day. All the line up were brilliant. There wasn't one part of the day that I didn't enjoy. Seeing so many happy people was sheer joy. Very lucky with the weather. I thought it was very well organised. Even though the queue was long to get in it didn't take long to get our bags checked. It was a good idea for staff to work their way along the queue to issue armbands. I highly recommend going if you want a great day out.

  • Amazing acts, sound fabulous and loos super clean

    by Chez T on 19/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 5 out of 5

My sister and I went on Sunday entry was seamless and well organised. The acts were superb watching The Jacksons was surreal as they are living legends. Brilliant 👏 What a booking! The sound quality was the best it's ever been. Food choices multiple and good quality. The loos were amazingly clean and not smelly considering we came on the last day so thank you Rewind Festival and well done team! Just loved the event.

  • Banging weekend

This is the 8th time we've been to Rewind South in Henley on Thames, it never fails to disappoint. I can honestly say there wasn't 1 bad act on this year, some better than others but you are always going to get that. A highlight for me was Kim Wilde but for my husband, it was Pter Hook & The Light (Joy Division/New Order). But also worth a mention, was a David Bowie tribute band call Aladdinsane who were quite literally brilliant. The one downside was the organisation of the entry to the event, this year it fell far short of what should be expected. Some of it was shambolic. It took us 3 hours to queue to get in on the Friday, only 1 person checking tickets, there was only 1 set of showers in the campervan field, 1 string of lights to light the whole field and far as we can recollect, only 1 water tap for the whole field. But overall, it didn't detract from the entertainment value and we will be going again next year :-)

Great weekend fabulous acts loads of food stations to choose from. I used the when mature calls loos they were very clean you pay extra for the weekend but are worth it my husband used the normal portaloos he said they were clean. Will definitely be going again

  • Great atmosphere

    by Dondons on 19/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 5 out of 5

Great atmosphere as always, first time in a campervan although been for 9years, not enough toilet blocks in campervan field, could've done with a few more blocks scattered, food and drink prices as expected, would've preferred something other than Madri lager but was drinkable. Line up was a tad poorer than previous years, I'm sure people would pay a little extra for some bigger bands. Great weekend though and will definitely come again

  • Fantastic again, but . . .

    by John on 19/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 5 out of 5

Rewind South 2024 was once again a fantastic experience. Family friendly, well run, great facilities, great food, great fun, great value! Well done Rewind once again. We had a great time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. But, sadly there is a "but"! The 15 minute slots for artists were disappointing, especially when an artist like Tiffany got only 15 mins, so only did 4 songs, of which one was a Robbie Williams cover (Angels)! Really? Come on Tiffany, surely you've got more of your own numbers in your back catalogue that we wanted to hear?! Also, BoyzLife got half an hour, and quite honestly were weak, and really didn't fit the demographic. Poor artist choice there Rewind! Sorry to say it! However, the line up otherwise was fabulous overall, and the Sunday lineup was AMAZING! Outstanding Rewind, well done, and we will ABSOLUTELY be back next year. Thank you.

  • Absolutely brilliant!

    by Nathalie on 19/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 5 out of 5

Such a fantastic weekend. Rewind South is my favourite festival. Great acts. It might be better to have slightly less acts and let them play a bit longer though. Also please can there be more showers next year????

  • Rewind South - poor facilities and organisation

    by PeterEH on 19/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 2 out of 5

Great bands, but let down by mismanagement and penny pinching. 3 hours to check-in for campervans. Insufficient showers and toilets (every year they get fewer). No water supply near one end of campervan field, and no water supply next to toilet waste dump station. These are basics! And who chose Jenny Powell to host day 1? Next year have The Dr do both days, (always delivers). That said, unless there's any evidence that the organisers respond to feedback, this year may be our last.

  • Worth waiting for...

    by Stefano on 19/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 4 out of 5

A good festival with decent 80's music and a very friendly atmosphere, also great choices of food and drink with virtually no queueing. The one negative element was queueing for over a hour to get in, organisation was chaotic and understaffed and not acceptable.

  • Great day out

    by Fan on 18/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 4 out of 5

Ok, so we got there about 3.30 on Saturday (gates open at 12) by the time we got there is was literally standing room only, the amount of people with picnic blankets/chairs taking up a lot of space was ridiculous. The toilets, well there wasn't enough and my god they were rancid, good job it was cooler than it had been in the previous week and they were only around the arena none on the out outside edges - well none that we found anyway. Plenty of shopping and lots to do for all ages. All in all a good day as long as you didn't need to pee frequently!

  • Amazing!!!!!!

    by Retepetite on 18/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 5 out of 5

Had an absolutly amazing day. Weather brilliant (thank goodness) the line up was fantastic. The venue is perfect. Extremley well organized event. From getting the tickets from the start of the year to entering the venue. The queue went really quick and seating area was good. Security was good. Very expensive drinks and food though, £6.50 for a can of lager £1.50 more than last year. I think it was too much of an increase. Bit of a rip off I'm afraid. Getting out of the car park was quite a wait, but with so many going at once that is understandable. All in all I am so pleased we went and can't wait for next year.

  • Cracking day

by Vyvyan Basterd on 18/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 5 out of 5

Had a fab day at Rewind South 2024 on Saturday 17th. People so friendly & all out for a great time. Going to do the camping experience for the whole weekend next year. Would highly recommend.

  • Great day out! Annoying "no personal food or drink policy"

    by 80s chick on 18/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 3 out of 5

Reason for my rating of 3- If you're going to charge top dollar for entrance and parking etc., then either have food at reasonable prices or let people bring their own! I brought my kids and they eat allot. I was planning to buy food as it adds to the experience but being forced to buy felt a bit much! The rides were also quite expensive. The concert, location and atmosphere was amazing! Overall we had a great day out!

  • Oh the que

    by Tillybean on 18/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 3 out of 5

Rewind- been coming a few years now! NEVER have I seen a queue snaking around the field at 2 hours long Awful Once in though - drinks extortionate But the line up, music and atmosphere was excellent

  • Amazing

    by Zobo on 18/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 5 out of 5

Had the most fantastic day at rewind festival on Saturday, bit if a long queue to get in apart from that cannot fault it. All the acts were fabulous Definitely will go back next year

  • We had a fab time as a family.

    by Quinders on 18/08/2024Temple Island Meadows - Henley-On-ThamesRating: 4 out of 5

We had the best time, everyone was there just to enjoy themselves which made it a very safe and fun environment for my son's first proper festival experience. Line up was ace, food options great and facilities were good. The only thing I would say is I would have hoped for more child friendly rides as at 6 he was just a little too short for many of the rides. I do think a bouncy castle would have topped it off for him and he had a bit of energy to burn off. Other than that we had a ball!
