About Rahat Fateh Ali Khan
Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan injected such a spiritually enriching experience in three of our most premier arenas that all who were privileged to witness it are still reeling from achieving the pinnacle of a spiritual enlightenment through music. London, Birmingham and Manchester were treated to a one of a kind indulgence by not only experiencing mesmerizing vocals but having your heart, body and mind revitalized. For those moments where the Qawaali King eases the audience in a spiritual trance and slowly but surely raises the divine energy emanating from the beautifully illuminated stage – you can only think that his voice comes from heaven itself.
Having sold out Manchester, Wembley and Birmingham LG Arena in 2012 by collectively showcasing to just over 30,000 people, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan nephew to the late and great Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan returns to the UK aiming to recreate the infectious energy he and his Qawwali band generated within our shores.
Back to enchant audiences, Rahat begins another exciting chapter in his illustrious career with the aim of bringing all of Europe to an even higher spiritual crescendo - to Heaven. As part of his European tour, Rahat will be back in the UK to grace the stage in Manchester Arena and Birmingham LG Arena on 12 and 14 September where his energy so contagiously connected two sold out audiences last year. However, Rahat will not just stop there. His energy will also be unleashed upon an awaiting public in West Yorkshire, home to one of the UK’s largest Asian population at Leeds brand new First Direct Arena. Rahat will grace this state of the art arena on 15 September for the first time with no energy conserved which will be undoubtedly be the arenas inaugural large scale concert.
Rahat’s genius lies in many forms but his ability to maintain his Qawwali and Sufi traditions whilst remaining one of the most popular Bollywood singers sets him and his concerts apart from the rest. Not only will you be treated to a heartfelt awakening with serene melodies like Teri Meri but will also be compelled to your feet by the infectious energy created by Tere Mast Mast Do Nain. These Bollywood classics will be reinforced by Rahat’s latest Bollywood hits powerfully intertwined during the evening with powerful Sufi chants like Allah Hoo which will leave you with an evening never to be forgotten.
