This is my second go at doing a review of the Pete Tong concert in Aberdeen at the P&J on 5/12/24. My last review was never posted up. The doors opened at 6.30pm but the main event never started until about 9.00pm. Had there been a technical problem? No explanation was provided. The lighting effects and the orchestra were impressive but I found all the singers to be a bit screechy and over loud and drowned out the orchestra. The sound quality improved a bit as the evening went on and my eardrums stopped vibrating painfully when one of the vocalists was belting it out. The concert had flashes of brilliance but was let down by the sound quality.

  • Great event but no special guests compared to previous years

    by KT on 15/12/2024The O2 - LondonRating: 5 out of 5

Great event with brilliant music as always. This is the third time that we have seen Pete Tong at the O2. Only disappointment is that was no 'special guests' compared to Swedish House Mafia in Dec 23 and Rick Astley in Dec 21.

  • Ibiza Classics come to Greenwich

    by BlueVinylEP on 14/12/2024The O2 - LondonRating: 5 out of 5

I had an amazing time watching Pete Tong, Jules Buckley and the Essential Orchestra perform a night of Ibiza Classics and 90s dance favourites. The way the set was put together, and the way a full orchestra bring these classic songs to life was fantastic. The crowd and atmosphere was electric too with 20,000 people dancing the night away at The O2 in Greenwich. I would definitely recommend seeing Pete, Jules and the orchestra again and am already looking forward to December 2025.

  • Pete Tong doing what he does best.

Pete Tong at his best with the essentials orchestra was a faultless show from start to finish. The music, singing and light show were brilliant, the memories of a forgotten age were unlocked. At the venue, Cardiff Utilita, as the companion of a disabled visitor I was pleasantly surprised by the level of care and attention given by the staff, partic
