About Peace One Day Celebration
Peace One Day have revealed in an exciting announcement that Sting is headlining the show for Peace Day on 21 September in Shakespeare’s Globe. The event celebrates the 20 anniversary of Peace One Day, with the mission to spread the message of peace worldwide. Sting is a multi-award winning artist and activist, with 17 Grammys and 3 Brit Awards, alongside an Emmy, Golden Globe, Ivor Novelo and BMI Award to his name. He completes the line up along with Emeli Sandé, Jack Savoretti, Basement Jaxx, Will Young and Citizens of the World Choir, who are also performing at the London event.
Also joining in the entertainment on the day include the BFG, played by Mark Rylance. Jasmin Vardimon and Hofesh Schechter Companies will also perform in Dance for Peace, with the dancers directed by esteemed choreographer Jamie Neale, who received an Emmy nomination for his choreography.
