Back To The Beginning: The Final Concert

Legends and heavyweights of heavy metal come together to celebrate Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s final ever performance on Saturday 5 July at Villa Park, Birmingham.

The metal spectacular, held at the home of Aston Villa Football Club, will be headlined by the original Black Sabbath line-up: Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward who will play together for the first time in 20 years.

"It’s my time to go back to the beginning…. time for me to give back to the place where I was born," Ozzy Osbourne said. “How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham forever."

An all-star line-up of special guests including Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, Gojira, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Lamb Of God, Anthrax and Mastodon have also been announced.

Additional performances will come from Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), David Draiman (Disturbed), Duff McKagan and Slash (Guns ‘n Roses), Frank Bello (Anthrax), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Jake E Lee, Jonathan Davis (Korn), KK Downing, Lzzy Hale (Halestorm), Mike Bordin (Faith No More), Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Scott Ian (Anthrax), Sleep Token ii (Sleep Token), Papa V Perpetua (Ghost), Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine), Wolfgang Van Halen and Zakk Wylde.

Music Director Tom Morello put it simply: "This will be the greatest heavy metal show ever.”

All profits will be donated equally to the following charities Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice, a Children’s Hospice supported by Aston Villa.

    When I was admitted to buy tickets for a split of a second I saw multiple blue sectors, the colour disappeared within a second with only left one opportunity to buy a single ticket while it was written that more than 70 were available for two tickets. So confusing, never got the option to buy two tickets. Then the golden circle was in blue and I tried to buy there, it kept on loading and loading and nothing again. Now I still see "limited availability"but nothing free on the scheme...

    Getting tickets for this is impossible. Over 150,000 people were in the queue at one time. The Venue holds 42,000. People from all over the world want to see this lineup and have been die hard fans for 40+ Years. This honestly should have been a festival. 😡

    I got into Ozzy Osbourne predominately when him & his family featured on that reality fly on the wall docu series on MTV way back, but was always aware of his music & Black Sabbath growing up. As I've gotten older (the wrong side of 55) I've grown to apreciate his music even more. What an honour it would be to secure a couple of tix for his final show, not to mention it's for amazing cause!

    I bought The Blizzard of Oz four times when I was 14. My parents kept throwing it away. Devil music.😂. My mom even forced me to camp in the desert of So Cal when the show was in town, because she knew I would run away from home to go to Ozzfest. My first show was in 84 with Metallica in Long Beach. I had just been released from the first chemical dependency unit for young people. I was 17. I had met Bill Ward and we had the same sobriety date. Later, I met Jack on a beach in Malibu at a sobriety birthday party. Then met Bill again at a meeting 20 yrs later. We talked in the parking lot for a couple hours. I did meet Ozzy once. I was 20 and waited in line for hours in LA for him to sign my record. But, I was starstruck and couldn't even say hello. I am volunteering to help out in Portugal this summer and saw this show announced. I am right next door. I teach high school art and told my students if they can find a presale code for me, they get extra credit!😂 Hoping one pops up in email. I enjoyed all 32 shows. Your songs saved my life in some dark times and brought me joy in so many other times. I will find a way to get to this concert, presale or not. Thanks to all of the Ozzy and Sabbath crew. Love ya Oz. ❤️❤️

    For those who asked about when tickets go on sale in the US, I believe it would be at 5am Eastern Time February 11 if you have an artist presale code. Sign up for artist fan clubs/mailing lists to hopefully get a presale code. Please feel free to correct my info, if anyone knows differently. Hope this helps. I'm confused about the seating and VIP packages, so if anyone has info on this, it would be helpful. I have never been to a show here either.
