Rock/Pop
One of the UK's best-loved performers
Since bursting onto the music scene as the runner-up on the 2009 series of The X Factor, pop singer and songwriter Olly Murs has achieved an incredible amount of success.
Not long after the competition, Murs embarked on a sold-out X Factor arena tour and his debut single Please Don't Let Me Go shot straight to the top of the charts in September 2010. His second hit, Thinking Of Me, peaked at No.4 in November of the same year. His self-titled debut record followed soon after, landing at No.2 on the UK albums chart.
Murs then decided to take his music in a different direction with his 2011 single Heart Skips A Beat, featuring Brighton hip hop duo Rizzle Kicks. It went right to the No.1 spot on the UK singles chart, and his follow-up album, In Case You Didn’t Know, did the same that autumn. Ollie Murs' next tour was the star's first headlining UK arenas.
Three more albums – 2012’s Right Place Right Time, 2014’s Never Been Better and 2016’s 24 Hrs – came in regular succession, with corresponding arena tours taking place during the intervening years. Co-written along with Steve Robson, Claude Kelly and Flo Rida, the lead track from Murs’ third album, Troublemaker, became his fourth solo single to reach No.1 and his biggest selling single to date.
Alongside his music career, in 2012 Murs released his illustrated autobiography Happy Days. In it, he opened up about challenges with depression and anxiety that came with his sudden rise to fame. Since then, he’s worked closely with mental health charities like Brainwave and #IAMWHOLE, which presented the ground-breaking Music 4 Mental Health concert in 2018.
In 2018, Murs got his own spinning red chair when he joined the coaching panel of The Voice UK. The following year, Team Olly member Molly Hocking was crowned the champion of the TV competition’s eighth series.
Murs spent the summer of 2019 touring the UK with a huge run of shows celebrating 10 years in the music industry, as well as promoting the release of his sixth studio album, 2018’s You Know I Know. The double album featured a selection of Murs’ greatest hits, as well as 14 new songs.
A devoted football fan and talented footballer, Murs is co-owner of Essex’s non-league Coggeshall Town FC. Often a participant in charity football matches, in September 2020, he captained England in Soccer Aid at Old Trafford.
In summer 2021, Murs embarked on a huge UK tour performing his biggest hits – including tracks from his triple platinum album Never Been Better – that continues through summer 2022. On 20 September 2021, he was revealed as the first headliner for Trentham Live, appearing on 4 September 2022.
In August 2022 Olly Murs signed with EMI for his first studio album in four years, Marry Me, with a release date of 2 December. 'Die Of A Broken Heart' is its lead single. Shortly after this, it was announced that Murs would play a special Scarborough Open Air Theatre show in August as part of his 2023 Marry Me tour.
In 2024 Murs was added to the Forest Live series at Cannock Chase Forest.
In April & May 2025 Murs head on a UK arena tour, including Plymouth, Brighton, Dublin, Glasgow, London and more. He will be joined by special guests Blue.
“Celebrating 15 unbelievable years doing what I love best will be truly special," says Murs. "But to top it off I’m taking a band with me who I was obsessed with in my college years, BLUE! No doubt the pranks and banter will be free-flowing but most importantly it’s going to be a great night for the fans to enjoy, I can’t wait.”

Took my BF to see him for the first time (I've been to every concert) and he was amazed at how brilliant Olly is. 100% amazing, talented, great performer and just a talented all rounder! If you haven't been, go!
Olly murals is an amazing singer and to top it of BLUE will support act him!! Blue are amazing seen them twice now and full of jokes, they are coming back along with OLLY!!
Seen olly a lot of times now and still the best in my eyes
I have seen Olly live on every tour he has done and he is superb, such a showman. He hasn't changed a bit and is so good to his fans. We love him lots ♥️ xx
Just a very entertaining night. Laughs along the way. Superb act. Amazing showman. Audience participation is second to none.
Support group Germein sisters was very good. Daniel Bedingfield, really bad. You can see why he's been away for 20 years. Olly Murrs, not the best. Came to see him sing his own songs not to do a melody of Take That and Lulu etc. Waiting time between groups to long. No music in between, people getting bored. If you didn't book parking up front on Ticketmaster then on the night was £15 where as last 4 times I've been to Cannock Chase Forest its been free parking. Very poor night considering it was his solo tour.
The actual show was excellent very entertaining ( I won the tickets wasn't sure if it would be any good ) the down side was the tech , had to wait to get longer than planned as the organisers card readers were not working , there was literally no WiFi in the whole event which isn't good when u need to let people know I arrived safely etc and lastly the food was seriously expensive and was not very good at all ( friend had gyros I had chips ) I paid less for my food at the Isle of Wight festival which tells you it was expensive !
Forest Live at Thetford is a great venue - first time there. Olly Murs was supported by Daniel Bedingfield - who, disappointingly was pants!! Olly was great, he really does put on a show - really really great, great sound at the venue and Olly really connects with the crowd!!
An excellent evening out at Forest Live at Cannock Chase, Olly Murs was amazing, so good live . His support bands were great too, credit to The Germein Sisters and Daniel Bedingfield.
