This Christmas season Ballet Ireland, Ireland’s national ballet company present’s everyone’s seasonal favourite, The Nutcracker with live music performed by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.
This heart-warming story takes audiences on a wondrous adventure with Clara, her Nutcracker Prince, and the Sugar Plum Fairy on Christmas Eve. This delightful ballet performed by 16 top Irish and international dancers from as far afield as Japan and Australia will delight audiences of all ages. Ballet Ireland’s The Nutcracker sparkles with the joy and imagination of a childhood Christmas.

About Ballet Ireland
The National Ballet of Ireland, Ballet Ireland was founded in 1998 and gave its inaugural performances at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin, in September 1998. The company has mounted twenty four major productions to date and has a very extensive educational and commissioning programme. The aim of Ballet Ireland is to develop a full-time classical ballet company of the highest quality, with a wide-ranging repertoire of international standard, which promotes an appreciation of ballet amongst people of all ages and backgrounds and generates a significant audience for performances on both national and international stages; and it is intended to have a broad role in promoting, developing and performing ballet.
Ballet Ireland is funded by The Arts Council.
