An East London rapper of Nigerian descent, Lukman Olanrewaju Odunaike is known for shaping diasporic sounds with elements of hip hop, R&B, Afro-pop and dancehall.

Counting grime heavyweights like Stormzy and Wretch 32 among his fans, he’s come a long way since laying tracks in the studio at the age of 13 under the moniker Young Stacks. In the years that followed, he changed his artist name to Not3s (pronounced “Notes”), which he said means three things: money notes, music notes and “take note of me”.

It was his 2017 irresistible hit Addison Lee that that propelled Not3s into the spotlight. He released it one evening on SoundCloud, and watched the plays pile up. The next day GRM Daily contacted him about shooting a video for YouTube. After that was unveiled, the song became a viral sensation.

Not3s followed it with the taxi-themed single Uber. His Take Not3s EP arrived in autumn 2017 on Sony’s Relentless label, followed by a few more singles – Notice and Aladdin – and at the end of the year he embarked on his first tour.

Nominated for the BBC Sound Of 2018 list, Not3s released his Take Not3s II EP that summer containing a couple of hot collaborations like Sit Back Down with Maleek Berry and Trekked Like Me with AJ Tracey.

He continued to release big tracks such as Just Fine, Wanting, Princ3 and Highest plus collaborate with Tracey again on One More Time in 2020.

In July 2021, Not3s unveiled the lead single Boom Bam featuring Young T and Bugsey. The following month he announced his debut 3 Th3 Album would arrive on 20 August 2021 and be supported with a digital launch experience live-streamed on Thursday 26 August 2021, when he’ll play it in full.
