Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds have announced 2024 dates
Noel Gallagherâs High Flying Birds first emerged in 2011, releasing their eponymous debut album in October of that year. The album went double platinum in the UK and has since sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide.
In the two decades prior to this release, Gallagher was omnipresent at the forefront of Britpop as the main songwriter, lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of Oasis, one of the biggest and most influential bands ever to emerge from the UK. In the wake of that band's demise, Gallagher's continued success with the High Flying Birds cemented his position as a principle player in the long-standing tradition of British rock music.
By the time they came to their second album, Noel Gallagherâs High Flying Birds had already played 150 live shows in 32 different countries. Chasing Yesterday was released in March 2015, marking Noel's debut behind the desk. Another 122 shows followed across 28 countries.
The sessions for he band's third outing â spanned two years with renowned producer and composer David Holmes in Belfast and London. Who Built The Moon? was released in November 2017 and debuted in the UK at No.1, marking a record-breaking 10 consecutive chart-topping studio albums in the UK for Gallagher.
Relentless touring continued throughout 2019 with a host of headline festival dates and tours of the USA (with Smashing Pumpkins) and Australia (with U2). Following a diverse string of EPs through 2019 and 2020, the band returned in June 2021 with Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-21), a retrospective of their first decade together along with two new singles âWeâre On Our Way Nowâ and âFlying On The Groundâ. The collection was Noel Gallagherâs High Flying Birdsâ fourth consecutive No.1 album and Gallagher's 12th. That same year, he was named as Record Store Dayâs official ambassador.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds played Glastonbury's Pyramid stage in June 2022, delivering a career-spanning set to one of the weekendâs biggest crowds. The show was the culmination of a summer of acclaimed sold-out outdoor venues across the UK.

by Debbie on 20/07/2024Cardiff Castle - CardiffAs expected, an enjoyable evening at Cardiff Castle for Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds. My only gripe was that they didn't come on stage until 9pm, there were two support bands prior to that from 7pm, no seating available and l paid extra for the VIP platform. My feet had had it by 10.45 when Noel finished! Not necessary for two support acts, better to see who you came and wanted to see at 8pm start, have an interval and play for half hour longer. Otherwise, the venue and organisation was good.

The atmosphere was lovely and chilled the weather was brilliant and everyone was so nice and considerate (especially seeing as I am small by normal standards!) the castle wasn't overpacked which is something I feel like can ruin a concert, had plenty of space to sit down on the grass but still be able to see the stage. Honestly one of the best gigs I have ever been to!

Noel Gallagher and his high flying bird was great. Support bands were great! Cardiff Castle was a fantastic venue made even better by a lovely warm evening. Would definitely like to see them again.

Noel and his High Flying Birds stormed the castle and conquered all with a great mix of his own work and a few classi Oasis songs. The sound quality and musicality was so good. A super nights entertainment and a privilege to hear Noel play and sing live. Aside of a great gig the hospitality was good too. Especially 'Dirty Bird' chicken to die for!

Just a great guy with a funny sense of humour. He says it as it is my kind of people NG your a legend HFB tour 2024
