Warrington's top indie rock and pop festival Neighbourhood Weekender returns May 2025
With a unique community feel, Neighbourhood Weekender is the biggest indie festival in the North West, welcoming both big names and breakthrough new music acts and bands to its three stages.
James and Stereophonics will headline Neighbourhood Weekender in 2025. They will be joined by The Wombats, The Lathums, Inhaler, Dizzee Rascal, The Reytons and many more.
James will headline Neighbourhood Weekender for the second time. With more than 25 million albums sold over their 42-year career, including the UK No.1 album Yummy released in 2024, they are amongst the most commercially and artistically successful – and most loved – alternative rock bands of their era. They broke through to mainstream chart success with their 1990 major label debut Gold Mother and went on to unite the early Nineties with euphoric anthems of solace, love, sex, loss and frustration at the ills of the world: ‘Come Home’, ‘Sit Down’, ‘Sound’, ‘Sometimes (Lester Piggott)’ and ‘Laid’.
Stereophonics headline Neighbourhood Weekender for the first time, following recent news of their ‘Stadium Anthems’ summer tour, which promises to be a journey through the band’s incredible career, with no hit left behind. Stereophonics have developed an enduring success and deep seated bond with their audience that is like few others. Their achievements include UK No.1 albums, 12 UK top-10 albums, 11 UK top-10 singles, including the UK No.1 single ‘Dakota’. The group have sold over 10 million albums, 1.5 billion global streams and 5 BRIT award nominations, with one BRIT award win.
They will be joined by indie stalwarts The Wombats, The Lathums, The Reytons, Inhaler and Wunderhorse, alongside one of the most successful British rappers of all time, Dizzee Rascal.
Mercury-nominated artist CMAT, international pop sensation Sigrid and UK chart-topper Amy Macdonald will perform also, alongside a host of exciting new names, including Luvcat, Sunday (1994), Chloe Slater, Pixey, Overpass and many more.
National Express is providing a day return coach travel from Leicester, Sheffield, Bradford, Leeds, Birkenhead, Liverpool, Manchester, Preston, Wigan, Stockport, Stoke on Trent, Crewe, Huddersfield, Chester.
Your coach will arrive at the festival gates on Saturday and/or Sunday before the music starts and return to your pick-up location after the headline act.
There are two rail stations serving Warrington – Warrington Bank Quay and Warrington Central, which service train routes across the UK, including Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Crewe, Chester, Lancaster, Stockport, St. Helens, Widnes, Leeds, London and more.
The number 11 and 11a bus services stop at Knutsford Road, Victoria Park and it takes five minutes from Warrington Bus Interchange, located at Warrington Central train station.
There is a festival car park located 10-minutes walk from the site. Public transport is encouraged as car parking is limited.
The park is located a short walk from Warrington town centre. It is a 20-minute walk from Warrington Bank Quay, Warrington Central and Golden Square Shopping Centre.
Neighbourhood Weekender strives to make the festival accessible for everyone.

Great vibe and chilled festival , no massive queues, great bands and a good selection of food vendors
Enjoyed the bands particularly on the 3rd stage. Please provide more seating/tables so can relax near stages
Disappointed that Stereophonics and Dizzee Rascsl were on a same time, little outside of these! Spect the whole afternoon in the Neighbourhood Inn which was great but not £80 a heads worth tbh!
Had a great time at neighbourhood. Went for stereophonics but enjoyed some other bands too, the lathums were excellent ! A great day lots of food stalls, a funfair, only thing they didn't sort was the weather, we got a bit wet 😂
After being disappointed with a literal "No Show" last year, we were made up to be going back this year. Band lined up were amazing and the headlining "James" did an amazing show. The actual event its self lacked the previous panache of its predecessors with very few stalls. The prices were ridiculously high. There wasn't much diversity on what was on offer and in the VIP section, well, snooze ville tunes, the food sellers didn't have everything they had on the menus, the drinks selection was minimal and the stage for us to stand on was so far from the actual performers, it should have come with binoculars. A real let down of a festival offering. Good job the musicians did their best as always, music was awesome but we will not be returning.
Reasonable price, really well organised, good music, decent amount of toilets, didn't witness any trouble during the festival or leaving. Only gripe is that the stalls were apparently told they couldn't sell bottles of water without explanation.... assuming "it's because it could be used as a weapon"would be the official reason but as someone who wasn't drinking alcohol, paying £3 for a small can of water seemed harsh. There was water refil points but nothing to refill....... . I know the festival has to make its money somehow but when you're jumping about in a warm body filled tent surely hydration is preferable to picking dehydrated people off the floor.
Great audio, great lineup and very well ran festival! Would deffo come back.
Event was great but the official parking was horrendous on leaving, not enough stewards to manage the flow of traffic and the ones that were there seemed to be standing around doing nothing. This would put me off going again.
