About

Football fans are in for a treat as some of the greatest legends from the North West’s biggest clubs come together for the English Masters Football tournament. This thrilling six-a-side indoor event will take place for the very first time at AO Arena in Manchester on September 5th, 2025.

The tournament will see iconic players from Manchester United, Manchester City, Everton, and Liverpool take to the pitch in a fast-paced showdown. Each squad will feature eight players, with six on the field at any given time. The competition will follow a round-robin format, with each match consisting of two 8-minute halves (16 minutes total). The two teams with the highest points will battle it out in a grand final to claim the title.

Masters Football has long been celebrated for reigniting classic rivalries and delivering spectacular moments, and this year’s event promises to be no exception. Fans can expect to see some of their all-time favourite players displaying their trademark skills, creativity, and passion for the game.

Full squads and team captains will be announced in the coming months, adding to the anticipation.

Always great to go to see the masters football, went last year to braehead, was a great atmosphere there, only downfall was there pitch kept ripping up, Aberdeens p&j event was good, would liked to have seen the smaller pitch and 8 minutes a half, makes the games a lot better, also Perspex around the perimeter is a lot better as was very stop start, the atmosphere was not anywhere near as good as braehead was, as expected at events the pricing is expensive, but it just keeps increasing all the time, £8.95 for a pint is far to overpriced for a flat pint in a plastic glass, apart from the a good night had and hopefully masters will be back again in the future with improvements in place
