About Mario Biondi
Mario Biondi began singing at a young age alongside his father - singer Stefano Biondi, in honour of whom Mario took his stage name.
In 2006, he released his first album Handful of Soul - a collection of 12 songs, including both new material and interpretations of classic tracks - which went four times platinum in just a few months.
Several albums later, and in 2010, Biondi was providing voiceovers and songs for animated films, in particular Disney's film Tangled. In the reinterpretation of the classic Rapunzel story, he played the tender-hearted Hook-Hand Thug, and again in April 2011, becoming the Italian voice of the super-evil parrot Miguel in the film Rio.
Later that year he released the double live album Yes, You, comprised of recordings of Biondi’s summer tour around Italy's main venues, all completely sold-out.
He has since released five more albums, with his 2016 release Best of Soul comprising all of his greatest hits from throughtout his career.
