Raised in Long Island, New York, Madison Beer won a modelling competition when she was just four years old. A natural performer as a child, she gravitated toward singing and began evolving into an all-round musician as a teen, teaching herself to play guitar, piano and drums.

At the age of 12, Beer launched a YouTube channel and began uploading videos of herself doing covers of songs from artists she admired like Bruno Mars and Adele. She also moved to Los Angeles with her mum and younger brother in order to pursue a music career.

Beer shot to fame a year later in 2012 when Justin Bieber tweeted a link of her singing At Last by Etta James to his 25 million followers. In the post, he wrote: “wow. 13 years old! she can sing. great job. #futurestar”. They met soon after and he was responsible for getting her signed to Island Records.

In early 2013, she joined up with Australian singer Cody Simpson on his re-released song Valentine. Beer’s debut single Melodies also came out that year – along with a video that included a cameo from Bieber. Her second single Unbreakable arrived in 2014.

More music followed in 2015, with Beer featured on DJ Mako’s song I Won’t Let You Walk Away as well as releasing two more singles of her own – All For Love and Something Sweet.

However, wanting to be less constrained and create music drawing on other genres, she left Island Records in 2016.

Beer’s debut EP As She Pleases was recorded and released with Access two years later. She also voiced Evelynn in the virtual girl group K/DA and performed live at the 2018 League Of Legends World Championship in South Korea.

In 2019, Beer signed with Epic Records. Following the lead singles Good In Goodbye and Selfish, her debut album Life Support came out in early 2021 and she performed a global virtual concert to promote it. In June 2021, Beer announced four UK dates for The Life Support Tour in April 2022.

Regarding the album and tour, she said, “I poured my heart and soul into Life Support, and I’ve been dreaming about the day when I can finally go on stage to perform and celebrate with all of you.”
