About

There is tremendous anticipation for Lucia & The Best Boys’ new music to drop in 2023, with upcoming sold-out headlines at Glasgow’s SWG3 and London’s Omeara testament to that. The band’s latest music has been bubbling under the surface over the last year, being teased to longing fans across the UK this summer supporting Wolf Alice and Dream Wife alongside major festival slots.

Lucia can’t wait to show the world her eagerly awaited debut album, produced by Ash Workman (Christine & The Queens, Metronomy) and to be released via Communion Records, with first single “When You Dress Up” out this February.

Their sound is a cacophonous one, where youthful fragility meets maturity, confidence and empowerment. Think Shirley Manson meets Stevie Nicks, with a bit of Robyn thrown in for the dancers among us.

Lucia & The Best Boys’ notoriously fierce live performance is only going from strength to strength, with Wolf Alice inviting them on their extensive UK tour having witnessed the energy of their show. Lucia’s stagecraft also caught the eyes of legendary fashion house Alexander McQueen, whom for the last year Lucia has been their muse. Having recently closed their flagship runway show at London Fashion Week, the band also partnered with McQueen for a campaign this summer which captured them taking to the stage in Glasgow’s legendary and glitzy Barrowland Ballroom.

Oozing confidence and ready for what lies ahead, 2023 really does feel like the defining milestone year for Lucia & The Best Boys.

Stunning evening at The Jazz Cafe Camden last night for Lucia and her very best boys. Lucia herself is totally captivating , weaving her way through floaty folk, mainstream Indie/Pop into a world of a darker mood .. Abely backed by a fantastic band. Bought the ticket off the back of them supporting The Last Dinner Party at Hammersmith last September. Had an idea of what to expect, but got so much more. Highly recommend a night out . Hope they reach a wider audience, and get the recognition they deserve.
