The monstrously motley crew return to the UK in April 2024

Enter the dark and twisted realm of Lordi, a Finnish heavy metal band known for their elaborate monster characters and theatrical stage presence.

Formed in 1992 by lead vocalist Mr. Lordi, the band gained international acclaim after winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 with their song ‘Hard Rock Hallelujah’. Their members includes Mr. Lordi (vocals), Kone (guitar), Hiisi (bass), Mana (drums) and Hella (keyboards).

Before their Eurovision success, Lordi had already released several albums, such as their 2002 debut, Get Heavy, which set the scene for a blend of horror-themed lyrics with catchy melodies and heavy riffs. Their visual identity, featuring monstrous personas and intricate costumes, soon became a trademark of their performances, while lyrical themes of horror and mythology placed them even further on the fantastical end of the metal genre. In 2022, they released, Screem Writers Guild, the first to include new guitarist Kone after the departure of Amen.

    This is the second time seeing Lordi at Manchester Academy, wow what a gig. The whole show was just rocking the roof off. The Sound, Lighting and crew were really amazing. From the opening Song to the closing song Lordi blow the house away. Their Talents are Subblind, Songs that send the hairs on your arms skyward. A mix of of old and new songs and lyrics. The This band just put everything into making a a show stopping, jaw dropping experience. Brilliant production, worthy of a Musical Award. Long live Lordi buy the albums see their shows you ain't going to be disappointed
