About

Multi-platinum nu-metal pioneers

Led by inimitable musician, actor and filmmaker Fred Durst, multi platinum-selling rap-rockers Limp Bizkit are widely credited with giving birth to nu metal by merging rap and hardcore rock.

Formed in 1994 and hailing from Jacksonville, Florida, the group went through numerous line-up changes over their first 25 years, but have since returned to the classic 1996 configuration made up of Durst on vocals, Wes Borland on guitar, Sam Rivers on bass and John Otto on drums – with DJ Lethal often joining behind the deck.

Best known for their abrasive lyrics, torrent of riffs and explosive outbursts, Durst picked the name Limp Bizkit because he wanted to repel listeners. The band released their debut album Three Dollar Bill Y’All produced by Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot) in 1995 and grew a cult following thanks to cover renditions of George Michael’s 'Faith' and Paul Abdul’s 'Straight Up'.

In 1999, Limp Bizkit unveiled their sophomore album Significant Other, which not only spawned a couple of their most popular singles (Nookie and Break Stuff), but also launched them into the mainstream rock spotlight.

The arrival of their third album, Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavoured Water, in 2000 turned the band into international stars. Both the album and the single Rollin’ topped the official UK charts. Three more songs – 'My Generation', 'My Way' and 'Boiler' – also broke into the top 20. In 2001, Limp Bizkit were nominated for three Grammys and won three MTV Europe Music Awards including Best Group and Best Album. A remix of 'Rollin’' also appeared that year on the soundtrack of the film The Fast And The Furious.

Following the temporary departure of Borland, Limp Bizkit released the No.7-charting album Results May Vary in 2003. Borland returned for the recording of the 2005 EP The Unquestionable Truth (Part 1), but the whole band decided to go on hiatus in 2006.

Limp Bizkit returned to the music scene in 2009, launching the Unicorns N’ Rainbows Tour. They also began recording their sixth album Gold Cobra, which was released in 2011 and followed by another worldwide tour.

After 10 years in development hell, the band finally released their sixth album, Still Sucks, in October 2021, preceded by the single 'Dad Vibes' which was unveiled during their Lollapalooza set.

In October 2024, Limp Bizkit announced their Loserville UK arena tour for March 2025, calling at Glasgow, Birmingham, Manchester and London, with support from Ecca Vandal, Bones, N8NOFACE, Karen Dió and special guest Riff Raff.

My dad almost never sings or dances but somehow limp bizkit are the only ones to get him to dance and sing. From the second Fred said "get up" at the start of 'break stuff' nobody sat down for the whole hour and thirty minutes!

I have wanted to see limp Bizkit since the 90's. They certainly didn't disappoint. We had such a great time. Fred Durst! Wow this man has got better with age, it was one of the best gigs I've been to! I really hope I get to see them again, so worth the wait!

Limp bizkit were absolutely amazing. Can't say we were a fan of the supporting acts. Some people around us left and didn't return.

I'm more of a classic rock fan but I took my son as he wanted to go. Support acts weren't really my thing but they were good. Limp Bizkit I thought were brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed it. They put on a great show and the crowd went nuts. All in all a great night.

Support acts were not my thing but the compare was terrible and why bother, Limp Bizkit were good lots of fillers but played all crowd favourites, why they played break stuff twice I don't know but what we paid for this concert just didn't cover the experience, will see them again but will be at festivals and not there own gig, pound for pound terrible 🤘🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
