Michael Howe replaces David Essex in Footloose The Musical

Michael Howe will join the cast of Footloose The Musical on Monday 11 September, taking over from David Essex in the role of Reverend Shaw Moore.
Michael's TV roles include barrister Mr Wilson in Hollyoaks and Hollyoaks Let Loose and he is soon to be seen in the new series of Life Begins. His on stage credits include 42nd Street, Chess and The Rat Pack.
Cheryl Baker remains in the role of Vi Moore, his wife. Both Michael and Cheryl will be appearing in Footloose The Musical until its extended end of run date: Saturday 11 November.
Footloose The Musical, the smash hit West End musical based on the electrifying Kevin Bacon film, was originally set to play at The Novello Theatre until September but later extended its run until November. The show, which opened in April, thrilled West End audiences and producers responded to demand and quickly announced it would extend its run through to Saturday 11 November, after which time The Royal Shakespeare Company returns to play its annual season at the Novello.
Footloose is presented by Mark Goucher, Michael Rose Limited, Tristan Baker and Jason Haigh-Ellery whose productions include Fame, Rent, Saturday Night Fever, Love Shack, Calamity Jane and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
