Kings of Leon announce UK dates
From the searing blues riffs and garbled vocals of their debut, nobody would have earmarked Kings Of Leon as future arena-packing hitmakers. Yet some sharp haircuts and a minor revamp and the brothers (and cousin) Followill metamorphosed from the Bayou Strokes to Platinum chart-toppers.
Kings Of Leon were a hit from the start, if not quite the hit they would become. Formed of brothers Caleb, Jared and Nathan with cousin Matthew, their 2001 debut landed right slap band in the middle of the great guitar rush of the early 00s. Cult success was almost immediate, helped by the single Molly’s Chambers and the band’s incendiary live shows, a flurry of hair and guitars that felt inspired by childhoods spent traversing the south with their father’s travelling evangelist show.
There was more than a hint of progress with the band’s second album, 2005’s Aha Shake Heartbreak. The riffs were more refined, Caleb’s vocals were borderline intelligible and the hooks hit harder, especially on the remarkable album highlight The Bucket. It turned out to be an inspired adjustment; as so many peers fell away after promising debuts, Kings Of Leon were only growing in stature.
Even greater success was signposted by the band’s Ethan Johns-produced third album Because Of The Times, which showed they’d learned a thing or two from touring as support for U2. The promise shown was well and truly delivered with Only By The Night, which featured the huge hit single Sex On Fire. Both album and single earned their respective No.1 slots.
Come Around Sundown kept the band’s trajectory pointed firmly towards the sky, topping the album charts in 15 countries. However, signs of strain were starting to appear and after Caleb walked off a Texas stage mid-performance in 2011, Kings Of Leon went on hiatus. It was short lived, though, and the band was back with Mechanical Bull in 2013.
Following the supporting tour, Kings Of Leon went straight back into the studio to record their next album, WALLS. Their eighth studio album, When You See Yourself, followed in March 2021.

Absolutely loved them, amazing live cannot wait to see them again!! Brilliant night
This is the 5th time I've seen King's of Leon and they just get better and better! The gig was amazing last night. The band seemed really relaxed and up for it! Caleb's voice was faultless as usual and the band were incredible!! Loved the mix of old and new tunes!!
Absolutely awesome. 7th time seeing them and every one superb! Best live band ever! Awesome show and awesome atmosphere and to hear they are 47% Scottish even better! Now I know why I love them so much! Kol rocks 🤟🏴🤟🏴
Brilliant gig had so much fun. Caleb's voice is amazing. Played new songs too which sounded fantastic. Can't wait till next time.

Ovo live lounge access was great. 6th time seeing KOL. get better everytime I see them.
Had good seats.. Great atmosphere.. Have seen KOL several times and they never disappoint fantastic loved every minute 👍
Bought three e-tickets for this gig. It was so simple. Thanks Ticketmaster!! The gig it's self was fantastic. So much fun. The set list was amazing. Loads of favourite songs. Utilita arena was great. Lots of security people around , plenty of help available , for those who needed it. If you get the chance to see a gig here , go. I'd definitely do it again.
Support acts were great, particularly The Vaccines. Kings of Leon were off the scale though... I cannot fault them. Getting in, using toilets and getting drinks were all easy. Unfortunately some absolute muppets tried to ruin everyone else's evening as they can't handle their drink, they were getting really lairy and knocking people and spilling drinks everywhere and just being generally annoying to everyone. Thankfully 2 of the idiots who were throwing lit cigarettes at people were escorted out but the rest of their group who kept trying to start on people weren't and it was left for a few men in the crowd to police them. Overall, it was a great evening and we really enjoyed it. It's a shame that the trains don't run after the concert as we would have rathered get a train home than drive
Booked tickets easy, had several emails/reminders about event and details about tickets. Going to the event, staff were helpful with locating seats. And tickets were easily accessible on the day. Had a great time seeing K O L again.
My fourth time seeing the Kings live, but was blown away by their energy and musicianship. Songs from their latest album sounded especially strong live- 'Seen' was a personal favourite and the perfect ending to the main set. I was really pleased with the decision to mix up the setlist a little from previous shows, which brought a fresh vibe and worked well with new material. Some surprise additions of older songs went down really well too- 'My Party' sounded great and fitted perfectly with the new stuff. The latest album has so many stand out tracks that sound incredible live- I really hope plenty of them stay in their set moving forward. What a night!
Loved it including the Vaccines who were just as good as Kings of Leon. Lively crowd and good atmosphere and all the hits and a ticket you can rely on. Lovely 100%. Would go again.
My 11 year old son watched the boys at Birmingham on Saturday with me and my wife ( our 8th time watching ) . He was in awe of them and to see his face was perfect. Loved the news songs mixed with the classics. KOL thank you for this memory which will live with me forever ❤️
A fantastic night. The Vaccines were excellent. Kings of Leon were amazing. The event happened to fall on my birthday; fantastic treat.
Wow what an event! Introduced to Holly Humberstone who set things off well, she was a great surprise who we were impressed with. Then The Vaccines got us singing to more familiar numbers before the main event! The Kings Of Leon!!!! As good as we could have hoped and so much more, perfect first concert to share with my daughter Great venue too
I was not happy at all I booked my seats that I picked and a few days before I got a email from you guys saying my seats were changed so it ment we were not next to our friends and just ruined our gig
Great music, pretty chaotic getting in and out of the venue. Rip off prices for refreshments and massive toilet queues
As always KOL top form, set was superb. Had Birmingham rockin🎸🎸
Thoroughly enjoyed the gig. Staff were helpful with locating seats. KOL were amazing as expected. Will go again as soon as they tour again.
