About Julio Iglesias
Julio Iglesias is the world’s most successful Latin American artist. His unique style, complemented by his soft and tender voice and the deep emotion, have made him one of the most beloved and renowned singers ever.
The Spanish artist has sold over 300 million copies of his 80 albums released worldwide, which make him one of the top 10 best-selling artists of all time.
In 1983 the Guinness Book of Records recognised him as having sung and recorded in the most languages in the history of music.
During the 50 years of his unstoppable career, he has sold more 300 million records. Iglesias has performed concerts in over 600 cities around the world. In addition to his own solo performances, he's been featured in duets with many famous artists, such as Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Willie Nelson, Diana Ross, Dolly Parton, Art Garfunkel, Paul Anka, Charles Aznavour, Sting, The Beach Boys, Plácido Domingo.
Iglesias received a Grammy Award in 1988 and, in 1985, he was awarded a star with his name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He holds an American Music Award, the prestigious ASCAP Pied Piper Award, the highest award of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, and was named a UNICEF Special Ambassador for the Performing Arts, among many other honors. In 2016, he received an award in South Africa for selling more than 500,000 records, becoming one of only three artists in the world who have been the recipients of this prize.
