About

Jason Isbell is a Grammy Award-winning American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Green Hill, Alabama. He is best known for his solo career and as a former member of Drive-By Truckers, whom he peformed with for six years from 2001 to 2007.

Isbell's sound is Americana and alternative country and has released six solo albums since 2007, including The Nashville Sound, which was released earlier this year.

Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit was the name of Jason Isbell's second full-length album, and first album released with The 400 Unit as accompanying band.

Great art deco venue with a sloping standing area stalls that allows a good view from the back as well as the front. The band played postbox the latest album with the addition of a couple of the best from South Eastern. Elephant has been a favourite of mine. They are more rocky now than a few years back and now play Allman Brothers style guitar breaks. Great songs sung with a great Southern American style. Will always go and see Jason Isbell when he comes across the pond.

Jason Isbell and the 400 unit are absolutely at the top of their game. We have seen them numerous times and they never fail to deliver. The show last night in Manchester was the best yet. Perfection.
