Cracking Night
by Mels2901 on 28/11/2024Fantastic night to see Jamie. This is the second time I've seen him on stage this year and he's fantastic with catchy songs that will have you singing and dancing all night.
From Liverpool songbird to national hero
Following his biggest ever UK tour in November 2023, Jamie Webster has announced a huge hometown show. The singer-songwriter has planned a 40,000-capacity outdoor mega-gig in Liverpoolâs Sefton Park for Friday 12 July 2024.
The scale of public support for the songs of singular, life-as-he-sees-it-singing, aspirational indie voice of Jamie Webster looks set to reach new heights as he announces the release of his third album, 10 For The People, on Fri 2 February 2024 with Modern Sky UK. While working confidently towards his third Top 10 album chart finish early next year, Websterâs Pied Piper-pull is set to draw a previously unimaginable 40,000 fans to one place as he also announces a huge outdoor headline show at Sefton Park, Liverpool on Fri 12 July 2024.
Blazing through not only his biggest Glastonbury appearance in June, but two nights in front of a combined 26,000 people at Liverpoolâs Pier Head a week later and enjoying a televised repeat performance on Glasgowâs TRNSMTâs Main Stage, those turning to look in Websterâs direction are discovering an artist inexorably on the rise.
With a previously announced Winter Tour now peaked by two sold out dates at Manchesterâs O2 Victoria Warehouse, added dates in Glasgow, an upgrade in Sheffield and a showpiece night ahead at Londonâs Roundhouse, yet no homecoming date, tickets for Sefton Parkâs celebration are set to be summer 2024âs hottest as Webster returns to Merseyside.
Confirming that a total of ten, additional new tracks will join this summerâs popular first single from the album, Voice Of The Voiceless, Websterâs pledge to fans has been to sing songs that will always make sense to their real lives whilst upping the sonic ante. Like 2021âs No.3-charting success story album, Moments, Webster assembled 10 For The People in the company of producer, Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers, Kylie Minogue), in a range of studio settings over the last 18 months, including the infamous Rockfield Studios in south Wales and, for the first time, the musicianâs own studio in the former industrial heartlands of his home city.
Now undeniably one of the UKâs most successful independent artists, hurdling the conforming star-making structures of old and turning a mutually closed ear and eye to slow-to-catch-up cultural gatekeepers in the capital, 10 For The Peopleâs sense of ambition and âtold-you-soâ overflows in every glorious chorus, pinpoint couplet and acerbic takedown of societyâs creaking old power structures. Enlisting his hero and forebear of potent, mainstream political songwriting, Billy Bragg, for vocal duties on one track, Websterâs posing of bigger questions than most music dares to ask continues in legendary company.
Webster says: âThis next album is specifically for the people, itâs brimming with stories, lessons and calls to action. Itâs about making people feel like theyâre not alone. It will evoke a lot of questions about what is actually going on today. Iâm literally just highlighting a lot of tales and scenarios of different people that will speak of wider injustice.â
10 For The People is to be released on gold and black vinyl variants as well as CD and cassette formats. Fans can gain early access to Sefton Park tickets, 48 hours ahead of the general on sale, with album pre-orders made by midday Tue 8 August, choosing from standard, signed and special edition merchandise bundles, via Websterâs official store.
Websterâs emergence in 2020 with No.6-charting debut, We Get By, was supercharged by his status as a streaming phenomenon, yet he inched tour-by-tour and venue-by-venue into the hearts of a wider fan base. 2021âs Moments, the artistâs first exploration into a more expansive sound, reminiscent of the vitality of his live performances, with Eringa behind the desk, pushed Webster out of cult-status and into the realms of mainstream contention with a No.3 Album Chart finish.
10 For The People builds on those foundations further with the confident promise of exceeding the expectations of existing fans and surprising anyone still to jump aboard.

Fantastic night to see Jamie. This is the second time I've seen him on stage this year and he's fantastic with catchy songs that will have you singing and dancing all night.
Belting night with a down to earth performer who is still in touch with his fans belting support act Great night
Great show, first time I have seen him, absolutely brilliant, the ks were great aswell
What an amazing night we had seeing Jamie Webster. What a performer!!! He had us on our feet from beginning to end, the crowd went wild for him and during his performance. His amazing words of wisdom to the younger generation and even adults I hope they were heard. Can't wait to see him again
To my shame, I've never really heard his music but I had the privilege of seeing him support Liam Gallagher's final solo gig in Malta. My teenage son has seen him 4 times at festivals and kept telling me I would love him, but stuck in my ways I never listened to his stuff. Anyway, he graced the stage and I was quickly hooked. Asking my husband, who is this guy? His music, lyrics, chat to the crowd blew me away!! I'd just had a conversation with my son & his best mate (age 18!) about being careful and warning them not to do anything silly as they were heading off into party central after the gig and told them one daft mistake could spoil their lives. Obviously goes through one ear and out the other, then we left them to get on with their night without us oldies. Then the legend that is Jamie Webster spoke about our Criminal Justice System and how one daft mistake as a 17/18 year old could ruin their future and I was just like "Thank You - they'll listen to you!"Anyway, 30 seconds later my phone buzzed with a message from my son saying "I'm guessing I was right and you love him?!"Damn right !! I can't wait to see him again. He was brilliant live. Just wish I'd have listened to my son before and learned the songs to have enjoyed it even more. It's never too late though and when we got back I ordered his album and a signed print which is now pinned inside my kitchen cupboard! Now I know the words I'm belting them out in the car!! Honestly the lyrics have given me goosebumps. A truly unique, talented, fearless and clued-up, kind young man. The music industry is lucky to have him so look after him for us please.
