About Isle of Wight Festival

On an island only two hours away from London, festival goers enjoy the sunny microclimate that feels like a whole other world.

As the UK's oldest festival, Isle Of Wight Festival has seen a lot in over 50 years. It was Europe's answer to Woodstock, those initial festivals between 1968 and 1970 that brought music to more people than ever before.

1970's festival will always be remembered as iconic with a line-up that included Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, The Who and Joni Mitchell and played to over 600,000 people for five days.

In 2002, John Giddings revived the Isle Of Wight Festival where The Rolling Stones, The Who, David Bowie, Muse, Foo Fighters and many more played to tens of thousands of music lovers in the sunshine. To this day, it is a staple of the festival calendar.

Isle Of Wight Festival is returning from 17 – 20 June 2021 with another huge bill. Headlining this edition are Lionel Richie, Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol, Pete Tong And The Heritage Orchestra, and Duran Duran. Other acts set to appear include Jess Glynne, Sam Fender, James Arthur, The Script, Supergrass, Carly Rae Jepsen, Happy Mondays, Primal Scream, Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight and many more.
