About Henry Priestman

Born in Hull, UK. Moved to Liverpool in 1975, where first band Yachts supported Sex Pistols in 1977 and signed to Stiff Records to record the cult new-wave classic "Suffice to Say". Founding member of It's Immaterial who enjoyed chart success with single 'Driving Away From Home'. Founding member and main song-writer for The Christians who in the '80s/'90s sold 3 million albums on Island Records.

Last 10 years also spent producing/co-writing music for film/tv/ads. First solo album, "The Chronicles of Modern Life", originally released in Sept '08 on Stiff Records (returning to his old label after over 30 years), now re-released on Universal Records (through Island Records, another former home).

With a tour running from January to April, and a new single coming out, 2009 looks set to be the year for our very own Grumpy Old Man.

A love of the great pop music of the last 50 years permeates the whole album, entitled "The Chronicles of Modern Life".
