About

Novelty band Hayseed Dixie first hit the scene with a tribute album to AC/DC in 2001, which reinvented the heavy metal legends' classic as hillybilly tunes. They followed this with 2002's A Hillbilly Tribute to Mountain Love, which gave the same bluegrass treatment to assorted hard rock songs; Kiss My Grass: A Hillbilly Tribute to Kiss came a year later.

Further releases have included A Hot Piece of Grass; Weapons of Grass Destruction (which featured covers of songs by, among others, the Beatles); Hair Down To My Grass and this year's Free Your Mind and Your Grass Will Follow.
