Park up and watch a film come to life
Want to escape into the world of movies? Secret Cinema has been specialising in immersive film experiences since hosting its first event in 2011.
Conceived in 2007, the London-based entertainment company is known for screening movies complemented by extravagant sets and interactive elements, often with themed food, drinks and entertainment to enhance the atmosphere. Although venues for the 360-degree participatory events range from abandoned buildings to stunning outdoor spaces, they are typically located in the capital and initially undisclosed.
For summer 2020, however, Secret Cinema has a launched a brand new, socially distanced drive-in experience. Häagen-Dazs presents The Drive-In from Secret Cinema offers a theatrical evening of film and song, alongside a specially curated selection of luxury ice cream.
Held in Goodwood, West Sussex (which is approximately 60 miles from London), you can see all sorts of movies under the open sky. Ranging from cult classics to family favourites, the line-up includes Rush, Jojo Rabbit, The Lion King, Dirty Dancing, Knives Out, Black Panther, American Psycho, The Greatest Showman, Deadpool, Bohemian Rhapsody and many, many more.
Of course, in true Secret Cinema style, each showing is an event unto itself. The fun starts the moment you arrive with 30 minutes of entertainment by Frankie and Johnny Starlight and their travelling cinema. Hot and cold food inspired by American diners, as well as soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available too, with menus varying by session.
Fasten your seat belts, it’s time to live a little.
Häagen-Dazs presents The Drive-In from Secret Cinema is being held at the Goodwood Motor Circuit in Chichester, West Sussex. Goodwood is located about four miles north of Chichester, 60 miles from London and 30 miles from Brighton and Southampton. Use the postcode PO18 0PH to help with your navigation.
