About Ha Ha Tonka

"In Usual Suspects, the opening track from Death of a Decade, the Missouri band Ha Ha Tonka busts out of the gates like classic Replacements on an Ozark bender. Premised on a killer riff, a great beat and singer Brian Roberts' throaty roar, Ha Ha Tonka may have created the catchiest mandolin-driven rock song since Losing My Religion." - NPR's Song of the Day

Acclaimed Missouri quartet Ha Ha Tonka announces its debut European Tour, to support its critically-lauded third album, Death of a Decade. Masters of bringing together the old-school and the modern, Ha Ha Tonka take traditional Appalachian instrumentation and four-part harmonies to pair its brand of Americana with indie rock. Think Alabama meets Arcade Fire. If that doesn't sell you, the band's dynamic live shows are guar-an-teed to uncross your arms and maybe, just maybe, do a little foot stompin'.

Named after Ha Ha Tonka State Park in their native Missouri, the group’s relentless touring has seen them become one of the most buzzed-about young bands in America, appearing at Lollapalooza, Sundance Film Festival, SXSW, CMJ while touring nationally as a headlining act, as well as supporting many great bands such as Old 97s, Murder By Death, Langhorne Slim, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin, Ludo, Meat Puppets and more. In 2011, the band was featured guest on the Travel Channel's flagship show, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations. The band has been also featured in national publications and sites such as SPIN, MTV, NPR and Rolling Stone.
