Enter a world where the stories behind some of the nation’s favourite portraits come alive, in this new, immersive art experience inspired by the National Portrait Gallery, created by FRAMELESS.
From royalty and cultural icons to leaders and national heroes, immerse yourself in the fascinating lives of the people have shaped the UK’s history and culture.
All their stories unfold in an unforgettable journey that fuses the best of art and technology, with images and animations travelling across specially created frames within a bespoke 10,000sq ft purpose-built digital gallery.
Featured stories include Jane Austen, David Bowie, Winston Churchill, Charles Darwin, Queen Elizabeth I, Queen Elizabeth II, Ncuti Gatwa, Audrey Hepburn, Dorothy Hodgkin, Mai, Nelson Mandela, Emmeline Pankhurst, Grayson Perry, Mary Seacole, William Shakespeare, Amy Winehouse, Oscar Wilde, Virginia Woolf and Malala Yousafzai.
Stories – Brought to Life is on at MediaCity, Salford Quays until 31 August only, before touring nationally.

Stories – Brought to Life will be open from 2 May on:
Mondays to Thursdays – 10am – 7pm (last entry 5.30pm)
Fridays to Sundays – 10am – 8pm (last entry 6.30pm)
We recommend that you allow no less than 60-75 minutes for your visit.
