About

The Rugby Football Union is the national governing body for grassroots and elite rugby in England. Its purpose is to encourage rugby, and its values, to flourish across England.

Under the England Rugby name, teams span from the senior men’s and women’s teams (Red Roses) to the youth pathway teams.

Over the years, success on the elite stage has been clear to see. The senior men’s side were crowned World Champions in 2003, with a host of Six Nations titles on their list of accolades.

The Red Roses stormed to their own Rugby World Cup title in 2014, and more recently were named champions of the WXV 1 in 2023.

The England Rugby pathway teams spread across a variety of age groups for both men’s and women’s squads. Recent successes from the youth teams have given confidence that the future of the senior men’s and women’s teams is bright!
