Following her critically acclaimed, triple-extended New York run, Eddie Izzard brings her solo performance of Shakespeare’s Hamlet to London’s Riverside Studios for a strictly-limited six-week run.

The King of Denmark is dead, and Prince Hamlet must take revenge, initiating a cascade of events that will destroy both family and state. Eddie will be portraying men, women, ghosts, scholars, tyrants, courtiers, lovers, fools and poets.

Hamlet marks Eddie’s second solo show following last year’s sold-out run of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, which played to rave reviews in New York and at London’s Garrick Theatre. This production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet will see her take on 23 characters in a unique performance of the classic play.
