  • Great experience

First time watching the DAVIS Cup and had a great time, despite team GB losing both singles matches it didn't dampen my experience. Loved the atmosphere and saw some great tennis. The 'Barmy Army' created a great atmosphere.

  • Great event but crowd size disappointing

by Paul on 14/09/2024AO Arena - ManchesterRating: 5 out of 5

Always a great patriotic event and huge fun. It was therefore disappointing that the arena was not fuller although we probably benefitted by being reseated closer to the action. Arena refreshment prices and queues disappointing but queues would have been worse if full

  • No where to rest a drink.

    by Mr C on 14/09/2024AO Arena - ManchesterRating: 4 out of 5

I know it's an arena more used to staging concerts than seven hours of sport. But even in a pop concert it would be nice to have even a shelf to put your drinks on in the area where food and drinks are served. Sometimes you want to stand up to eat and drink in between sets or matches rather than struggle down the steep steps back to your seat. And at £9 a pint you don't want to spill a single drop! There is plenty of space to put a small drinks shelf.

  • Great experience at the Davis Cup except for the bar service

    by Ali S on 14/09/2024AO Arena - ManchesterRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the Davis Cup. What an experience. The tennis, party atmosphere and music were great. We also got a ticket upgrade at the event as not enough people had booked to sit in the balcony so really delighted. Only negative was being served cider at the bar twice instead of beer. The drinks weren't labelled correctly. I had to go back twice to tell them of their error and missed some of the tennis as a result! Manchester Arena, please do something about this & improve the service on your very expensive drinks!

A very enjoyable afternoon with high quality tennis played in a fabulous setting at the arena in Manchester. The booking experience and entry to the event was first class.

Everything works out perfectly at Ao arena. Athmosphere was great, staff were very frendly and helpful. Foodarea workt out just fine.

  • underwhelming

the hall was barely half full. I suspect the high pricing had a lot to do with that. inside, £8.95 for a beer, really under any circumstances could that be described as value for money.

  • The World Cup of Tennis GB vs Finland

What an exhilarating experience from the first serve right until the final set point.

  • Amazing!

by Jan on 12/09/2024AO Arena - ManchesterRating: 5 out of 5

It was a long day considering we had to travel from the midlands so our day started around 6.30am and we finally arrived home at 10pm but it was well worth it. I've been to Wimbledon and the Cinch championships but the Davis cup has a completely different atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We had to leave before the doubles match had finished (close match but we lost that one to Finland) to catch our train back, which was sad but great that Dan Evans and Billy Harris both won there singles matches. Specially chuffed for Billy as it was his debut match. All in all a great day and will probably do it again next year if it's in this country again.

  • Tennis great, food choice not so good

by Tina on 12/09/2024AO Arena - ManchesterRating: 4 out of 5

I don't know why these large arenas seem unable to provide a decent choice of vegetarian/vegan food. It shouldn't be so difficult. If the AO Arena can't provide vegan food then you should be permitted to take your own food. The tennis was fantastic.

  • Rock n Roll Tennis

by ClaireY on 12/09/2024AO Arena - ManchesterRating: 5 out of 5

If you enjoy watching great tennis and getting involved with lively music and fun games with plenty of crowd support and participation then this a great and full day out

  • Great tennis, good view

by Andy on 12/09/2024AO Arena - ManchesterRating: 4 out of 5

Great atmosphere, good view and enjoyable day out. Catering offerings in venue poor and overpriced as usual.
