Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Daryl Hall, is launching his 2025 international touring slate with a series of UK shows, featuring opening act Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze.
StartingĀ 17 May in Glasgow, the tour sees Hall play The Royal Albert Hall on 19 May, for the first time ever in his illustrious career.
Tilbrook has previously performed with Hall on his award-winning web series, Live From Daryl's House. āIāve toured with Glenn in the past, and Iām a fan of his songs, and it will be great to work with him again,ā said Daryl, whose previous tours included acts Howard Jones, Elvis Costello and Todd Rundgren, all of whom also appeared on the acclaimed show. The format is the same, with Tilbrook performing a solo set in front of the house band to open, then joining Daryl Hall on-stage to close the show.Ā
Added Tilbrook, "I am so excited to be playing with Daryl and his fabulous band this year. After having a blast touring with them in 2021, and re-igniting the flame in Darylās House in 2023, I look forward to reuniting with them and playing some of my favorite songs, Daryl songs and some other stuff that youāll love! Come down and donāt break the furniture."

It was great to see Dayle Hall never seen him.before but it was a great night
What a privilege it was to experience some of the best musicians around performing together. Led by the genius of Daryl Hall who made us all feel welcome to Daryl's House. Classic material intertwined with some stunning new songs made the time spent in this wonderful company feel all too short. Daryl Hall still has one of the most iconic of voices and at 78 years of age he is an inspiration to us all. A gem of a concert I only hope that he is able to visit our shores again.
Daryl played all the hits (unlike Tillbrook). It's why we came and he really delivered. Great band too. Loved the riposte to the Bruce Trump rant, basically questioning the need for it.
What a fabulous concert. Daryl was amazing. He's still got it and he gave it big style. Really enjoyed the concert. Glenn was fab as were the band. So pleased we got yo see Daryl after waiting a long time. Awesome!!
Daryl's vocals a bit shady on some songs, but overall a great experience with is backing band being the catalyst of the night
Really enjoyed this concert, great interaction with the audience. Band was also superb.
Went to see Daryl hall and Glenn Tilbrook at the Apollo Manchester and it was a great night .Seen Daryl Hall various times over the years and his gigs never disappoint.Daryl's band were fabulous as was Glenn Tilbrook . Everyone was up dancing in the aisles and singing ,a great show !
What an evening, Glenn Tilbrook was absolutely amazing, Daryl was great and whilst difficult at times to reach those notes of yesteryear on the whole was good with the highlight being Glenn and Daryl coming together to sing each others songs. Amazing night. The venue, Symphony Hall was a treat, sat in the circle, great views.
Thought the whole evening was really good š really enjoyed it..
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience Great venue and really great show Was a joy, pleasure and a privilege to watch Daryl Hall in concert We were close enough to be privileged enough to watch his piano playing which was just incredible ! Band were great too
Was excited to hear The big 'D' but increasingly both of us wondered if he was drunk!?!? He slurred his way through the vocals and barely hit the notes he used to hit not that long ago. Venue amazing and Glenn Tilbrook never fails to impress.
Glen Tilbrook was amazing as was the Band, we enjoyed their performance and would rate them 5* - well done Guys ! BUT UNFORTUNATELY the main act 'Daryl Hall' was unbelievably poor ! His vocals were strained, appearing as though he was incredibly inebriated ⦠such a bad performance. Fans deserved better than this, as people have paid good money to see an icon in this incredible building !!! Icons should realise when it's time to call an end to their era and take advice , rather than embarrass themselves⦠Feel sad to report this let's hope things improve !
Daryl's vocals are past it now - he should rework his hits to suit his current vocal range . The band were brilliant but Darryl was out of time, singing in weird low ranges and people were leaving after ten minutes in. We left after 20 mins. The rendition of Maneater was terrible. Glenn on the other hand was superb, vocal range still good and performed well. Lighting was a bit hit and miss and sound from Darryl had a lot of mic feedback .
I was at the Albert Hall last night. I hadn't appreciated that DH was close to 80 years old...which does explain a lot. He was almost hoarse/maybe laringitis?.. and certainly cant hit the high notes anymore. I didnt feel he reacted well with the band..normally the band is introduced and there is some chat/warmth between them. No real connection with a stunned audience either.. Some people left early which was embarrassing with one chap being very rude as he left the venue. Maybe a quieter band, some backing singers to help out too. A shame...but still a fan!!!
AS USUAL DARYL HALL WAS AT HIS ALWAYS BEST. HE IS AGEING BUT HIS VOICE IS STILL BLISS. GLEN TILLBROOK WAS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. HIS VOICE IS SO ICONIC. YOU WOULDN'T KNOW HE DIDN'T HAVE THE BACKING OF CHRIS DIFFORD. THE ONLY NEGATIVE FOR ME WAS THE BAR.
So excited to see an all time legend and the musicians accompanying Daryl were absolutely outstanding. Regrettably Daryl's voice is not what it was and as you'd probably expect for someone heading towards 80. He's very engaging which was wonderful and you did feel you were in 'Daryl's House'. Was it worth £100 per ticket, sadly no.
Been a life long fan but unfortunately in Glasgow last night he couldn't hit a note, his singing voice has gone. Glen supported him well which was a blessing. Daryl's interaction with the audience was a bit embarrassing, his intros were almost incomprehensible, not good. It's a shame but I think it's time for him to call time on live gigs.
Embarrassing performance by Daryl Hall, the backing band and Glen Tilbrook were excellent.i hope he improves as his tour progresses. I felt sorry for the band.
