One of the world's most celebrated history broadcasters
Dan Snow could only ever have been a history broadcaster. The son of British and Canadian journalists, nephew of Jon Snow (the Channel 4 one, not the King in the North one) and historian Margaret McMillan and great-great grandson of Prime Minister David Lloyd George was practically bred for the job.
Shortly after graduating from Oxford with a First in Modern History, Snow went straight into broadcasting, co-presenting historical war documentaries with his father, Peter Snow. Over the years that followed, he presented a variety of historical documentaries, exploring his great-grandfather's role in World War I, delving into the history of St Kilda and excavating a Browning machine gun with the Irish army.
In 2015, Snow launched the podcast Dan Snow's History Hit, which proved hugely successful. In 2020, he announced a 10-date UK tour visiting historically significant parts of the country and interviewing prominent historians about notable incidents throughout time.
