Cyndi Lauper: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour
Cyndi Lauper is a songwriter, actor, activist and, with her bright and colourful clothing and hairstyles, remains an 80s pop favourite for many across the world.
Having sold over 50 million records over a career spanning four decades, Lauper has garnered many accolades many pop stars dream of. Her 1985 debut album She's So Unusual was the first by a female artist to boast four top five hits on the Billboard 100 – 'Time After Time', 'She Bop', 'All Through The Night' and 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' – songs that perfectly encapsulate the fun and freedom of the decade's new wave pop. It won her her first Grammy award, and as the years go by it keeps creeping up the ranks of Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Further hits came on 1985's True Colours, notably its title track.
Lauper is also known as the composer and songwriter of the 2012 Broadway smash Kinky Boots, which scooped six wins at the 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Original Score, as well as Best Musical Theater Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards. Lauper has also featured in various films and television shows, both as herself and as a host of characters.
A zealous champion of the gay and queer community, in 2008 Lauper founded True Colors United, which seeks to tackle homelessness in the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities.
June 2024 saw the release of Let the Canary Sing, a Paramount+ documentary about Lauper's career, alongside a soundtrack that included 'Time After Time', 'She Bop' and other classics. Lauper also announced her last ever tour, the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour. Dates in Manchester, London, Birmingham and Belfast were announced as part of the European leg.
Ahead of her Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour 2025, we celebrate Cyndi Lauper's greatest tracks

Great entertainer and all round performance , was a privilege to see her last tour
Cyndi Lauper….wow. Fantastic show. Sh is still mad a a box of frogs! Love her and loved the show. It was a last minute decision to get tickets but wow, wow, wow!!! You go girl!
Th show was spectacular. Cyndi Lauper still sounds great I'm actually gutted that she is retiring. She sang all her hits. She joked she entertained the crowd. One of the best spectalar shows I've ever seen in my life.
Absolutely loved the show. She interacted with the crowd, relaying stories and showing comedic backstage activities in addition to her great volume of tunes. She still has the voice! Great band!! Opening DJ played good tunes but too loud. Nice venue.
Cyndi was fab so happy we got to see her .. venue was great
Cyndi Lauper was epic! Her voice was unbelievable - what range. Her witty anecdotes and life stories were great. Loved every minute.
Cyndi was at her best and I loved the choice of songs and her interaction with the audience. Her band were on great form and they played brilliantly, sometimes they did drown out the vocals though. Staff at the co-op arena were super friendly and very helpful. Any 80s music fan would enjoy the concert!
Cyndi lauper hasn't lost it, what an incredible night
Wonderful gig from start to finish! Girls definitely had fun 🤩
