  • Backstage waste of money

by Sue on 10/04/2025Co-op Live - ManchesterRating: 1 out of 5

I purchased the back stage pass and was complete waste of money. We got one drink and it said on the website there was music/entertainment so was really looking forward to it. It was just a quiet bar with absolutely nothing on whatsoever, when I complained they just said it's out of their hands. Very disappointed, I advise people to be wary of purchasing this pass.

  • Poor backstage experience

by Total waste of money! on 07/04/2025Co-op Live - ManchesterRating: 1 out of 5

The room had no atmosphere. It was just dark and cold. The food was rubbish. Pizza or chicken wings of various flavours One drink each was included in the price. Drinks we would have paid £16 for in the stadium. I'm absolutely gutted and won't fi it again I feel a refund would be a good gesture!

  • Not what I expected

by Kim on 15/03/2025Co-op Live - ManchesterRating: 3 out of 5

It took 30 minutes to get through the queue and into backstage club, what was worse was main doors opened at 5.23pm and we were still waiting to get into backstage club. I booked it to have a better experience was not expecting to queue longer than others in a normal queue

  • Disappointing

by TD on 17/12/2024Rating: 2 out of 5

Great idea in principle, not worth the money though, should be £20 tops, nobody could direct us to the exclusive merchandise stall, no need for so called unisex toilets, no reason for not having separate ladies & gents blocks, everything overpriced. Definitely cost at least needs to be looked into.

  • Badly organised venue

by Wilo on 24/11/2024Co-op Live - ManchesterRating: 3 out of 5

Luckily we purchased Backstage Club passes so our experience was slightly better than others. That being said the venue is very badly organised and managed. Even in the backstage club no one was told the performance had started. People cued for over an hour to get in, miss the first few acts. Food services, no management or organisation meaning food took 3 times longer. Drinks are extremely over priced and once inside the venue you can not leave so it's like a prison.

  • First Trip to Co-Op Live

    by C&A on 21/10/2024Co-op Live - ManchesterRating: 5 out of 5

Well organised & sign posted well. Easy to get around venue. Easy access in to the Backstage Club. The area was very clean & bright. The music was good & easy access to the bar & toilets. All staff friendly and helpful. Free cloak room & access all night to the area. Worth paying the extra.

  • Pretentious

by Mark on 21/10/2024Co-op Live - ManchesterRating: 1 out of 5

When I booked to go to the backstage club I was expecting a lot more for my money. All I got was 1 free drink, a very mediocre choice of food and simply the privilege of being in a pretentious bar with a DJ before the show and then no DJ afterwards. I also couldn't get a table because there wasn't enough tables to people ratio and for £35pp you would expect to have a seat. I was expecting more complimentary drinks, quality food provided and more entertainment. I did really like the vibe and decor though just not the value for money. I feel it should be priced more affordable around £15 it would be better value for what you get.

  • Good

by Gig Goer on 20/10/2024Co-op Live - ManchesterRating: 3 out of 5

Good to have early access and bar easier to get drinks. But not enough seating and unisex toilets terrible. Man didn't close door. I hated it and there is plenty of room to make separate toilets I don't understand why they don't?

  • Room for improvement

by Kenno on 20/10/2024Co-op Live - ManchesterRating: 3 out of 5

Great concept really enjoyed the experience. After concert went for drink after show only 2 staff serving did increase but 20 mins to get a drink. Definitely need to improve on that.

  • Requires Improvement

by Kerri on 22/09/2024Co-op Live - ManchesterRating: 3 out of 5

We purchased the backstage club as we thought it would be a good experience for our teenager who was at her first gig for one of her favourite artists. On reading the reviews and what was seemed a good idea, free drink and space to purchase merch and have a quiet space too. On arrival at the requested entrance, there was 2 queues, both for different things with no one managing this to check if people were in the right queue. We were given a 5.30pm slot and the other queue were for VIP experience and earlier time so they were let in first. As it got closer to the time for us, our queue just got longer and longer, however still no one outside managing..which resulted again in 2 queues. It got to 5.30pm and still no entry. We were finally allowed in at 5.45/5.50pm and were given some drinks tokens and to be honest, once you are in, it is nice and quiet and you can just have space to sit before doors open to find your seat. We had a drink, found the toilets and can see why this would be a nice space to chill before and after a show. What let this down is the the merch seemed very limited to what you could get which once you see the other stands near to where you are standing/seating there is more choice. However, the queues for that did not ease for ages so in this case we got what we needed from the backstage bit. The other thing that let it down also was People queueing from the doors to where you to find your seat. This happened quite quickly and the queue goes all the way through the middle kf the backstage club area which was annoying. Once those doors opened it was fine, but then you werent able to access your seating area anyway so unnecessary. The organisation of it was really not great and when waiting with teenagers/kids not idea. However the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was good. Didn't try the food so can't comment. It's a good idea in itself and worth the little extra, however better communication, especially the staff need to know more on what they are doing and keeping to time etc these could be improved. Thank you for the staff that did their best despite the issues and managing annoyed parents!
