About Contemporary Portraiture In Portcullis House

The Houses of Parliament looks after some of the nation’s finest contemporary portraits, many of which can be viewed on the Contemporary Portraiture in Portcullis House tours. Highlights of these 75 minute guided tours include works by Grayson Perry, Gerald Scarfe and Henry Mee and tickets are now available to book.
Portcullis House, designed by leading British architect Sir Michael Hopkins and completed in 2001, is home to the House of Commons contemporary portrait collection. This unique collection records many well-known Parliamentarians including Margaret Thatcher, Tony Blair and David Cameron. The works on display reflect a diversity of styles and approaches by leading UK based artists over the past 50 years.
These tours run on selected Fridays between April and July at 09:45, 11:30, 14:15 and 16:00. Tickets cost £16.50 per person or £14 for concessions. Discounted group rates of £13 are available for bookings of 10 or more people. Due to limited space each tour can only accommodate up to 15 people so early booking is advised.
