About Christmas At Blenheim
The Great Outdoors made magical...
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas when the trees, Great Lake and waterfalls of Blenheim Palace are playfully lit and all aglow. There’s something for everyone at this festive time of year as the one mile sparkling path winds its way through the world-famous Parkland in a magical after dark experience.
This year, the new 2017 trail is a winter wonderland inspired by the landscape itself.
Greeted by the sights and sounds of Christmas, wander beneath unique tree canopies drenched in seasonal colour, snowflakes and baubles. Follow the path down towards Santa’s Christmas Workshop, through the twinkling tunnel and between the fibre optic waterfall that flows gently into the Great Lake where hundreds of brightly coloured boats ebb and flow.
In the distance, flaming plumes flicker as the mesmerising Cascade of Fire springs to life in time to much-loved Christmas classics. As you walk back towards the Palace, wander among Singing Trees rising high into the night sky and onto Mistletoe Moment festooned by a canopy of over 100,000 pea-lights – don’t forget to watch out for Santa and his Elves along the way.
Why not complete your stroll under the stars with spiced cider, mulled wine or hot chocolate whilst the aroma of roasting chestnuts fills the air? Gather to toast your own marshmallows at one of the fire pits, ride the vintage Carousel and enjoy other traditional fare before browsing Blenheim Palace’s well stocked gift shop.
Christmas at Blenheim is an event presented in the natural landscape. Whilst every effort is made to make the trail fully accessible, by its very nature it will on occasion cover difficult terrain particularly during inclement weather. In these circumstances there will be additional steward support available for assistance.
