About

Catfish and the Bottlemen announce landmark stadium performances for 2025

After selling out massive shows in the UK, US, Australia and headlining Reading and Leeds for the second time, the multi-platinum-selling indie rock giants Catfish and the Bottlemen announced their biggest live shows yet – their first ever headline stadium concerts.

The band will play Cardiff Principality Stadium and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for two landmark performances on 1 August and 3 August 2025. The news marks the next step in Catfish and the Bottlemen’s meteoric rise, following their anticipated return to the stage in the summer of 2024, which saw them sell out Liverpool’s 32,000-capacity Sefton Park and two nights at Cardiff Castle, before making their second headline Reading and Leeds Festival 2024 and playing extensive dates across the US and Australia.

Catfish and the Bottlemen’s stadium-filling sonic outlook has cemented their place amongst Britain's most successful bands of the 21st Century. Their debut LP, The Balcony, surged into the UK Top 10 and helped them scoop British Breakthrough Act at the BRITs before scoring a No.1 album with The Ride. Since then, they’ve amassed over 1 billion streams, 2 million album sales, and are closing in on 10 million single sales. On stage, Van McCann possesses unique magnetic energy, and is considered one of modern rock’s great live frontmen and songwriters, having played to over 2 million people.

In September 2024, the band will release a special 10-year anniversary reissue of The Balcony. The album will be available on limited edition CD, cassette and LP formats, with inverted white artwork and six bonus tracks. Fans can also access a limited edition 7” box set featuring the full album plus ‘Hourglass’ (Ewan McGregor version) and rare song ‘ASA’(Opens in new tab), available on a 7” again for the first time since the original pressing 10 years ago.

With the anthemic new single ‘Showtime’(Opens in new tab) out now, a monumental live summer underway, and groundbreaking stadium shows on the horizon, Van McCann is back where he’s meant to be: headlining festivals, working on new music, and beginning a bold new era for Catfish and the Bottlemen.

A special fan presale for their stadium shows will begin at 10:00 BST on Wednesday 21 August. Fans can sign up at catfishandthebottlemen.com(Opens in new tab) for access. Tickets are on general sale from 10:00, Friday 23 August 2024.

  • Great gig but vip ticketing was pointless

by Alefty on 14/06/2025Heaton Park - ManchesterRating: 5 out of 5

It's always guaranteed to be a great gig imo watching catfish and the bottlemen, however regarding the venue, me and my mate had VIP tickets, apart from going into a separate line upon entry to the event, we didn't actually get any benefits to do with the VIP wristband, allegedly we should've been able to join a different queuing system for both the bar, food venues etc, but we weren't able to do either, yet we paid probably £50 more per ticket for this. If there were any separate lines for VIP users to take advantage of, they weren't made clear enough.

Have they actually played Showtime in any gig yet? saw them in Sefton Park Liverpool, but due to the 10pm deadline they had to end the gig.

I went to Cardiff night 2 and it was the best concert I've been to, although it was only their 3rd show back it felt as if they hadn't stopped touring at all Great atmosphere, interacted with the crowd loads and was all in all just a great experience!! I now suffer from major depression because I miss Van McCann and I need to see him immediately
