Busted and McFly go head to head

Pop rock legends Busted stormed the stage at McFly’s sold out 21st birthday headline show at the iconic O2 Arena in London to announce they will be going head to head on tour together in 2025!

The Busted vs McFly Tour will see the two groups visit some of the UK’s biggest and best venues.

Speaking of the tour, McFly threw down the gauntlet and commented: “Busted gatecrashed our show last night (not cool), and challenged us to a VS tour next year. They’re old men now, and we are gonna blow them and their carers off the stage next year. We’ve had a great time celebrating our 21st birthday this week and next year is going to be even better - P.S Busted Suck."

Busted fought back and added: "There’s been a lot of talk recently…. This is where the talking ends….! We are ready to show who is the better band once and for all. McFly suck and Busted Rock!"

It’s been over 20 years since both band’s formed and they are still two of the most loved and successful British bands, inspiring many other artists over the past few decades.

Busted burst into the charts with their debut single ‘What I Go To School For,’ leading to hits like ‘Crashed The Wedding,’ ‘Year 3000,’ and ‘Air Hostess.’ Their 2023 album ‘Greatest Hits 2.0’ hit #1, 21 years after their debut. With three albums peaking at #2, 4.5 million sales, and two BRIT Awards, they’ve sold over 2 million tickets across multiple sold-out tours.

McFly’s 21-year journey began with ‘Five Colours In Her Hair,’ leading to seven #1 singles, 10 million sales, and a BRIT Award. Their latest album ‘Power To Play’ hit #2, and they celebrated their anniversary with sold-out shows, including two at the O2 Arena.

I can't believe some people are taking this seriously. There's no problem between the bands, we all know they're all great mates and this is purely a marketing ploy. For goodness sake people, either go and have a fabulous time, or don't go at all. There's no need for anyone to post nasty comments about either band because they're both great!

  • Why no southern shows?!

Can't tell you about my experience as I'm not going to have. More to the point neither are my daughter and granddaughter! No concerts in the South of England? Not even London, but I couldn't take them there anyway. What happened to the south of the country? Southampton would be ideal.
