Pushing the boundaries of cinema
Founded in 2013, Buffer Festival is known for bringing the most critically acclaimed digital creators and their audiences together. Held annually in Toronto, it showcases the talent of online video creators who’ve debuted their films on YouTube.
Dubbed “the digital version of the Toronto International Film Festival”, Buffer Festival presents work by passionate, bold and creative storytellers uniting the community of digital filmmakers with brands, industry representatives and media, as well as their film lovers.
In June 2021, organisers of Buffer Festival announced the event’s expansion to the UK, with the inaugural Buffer Festival London being held at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square. Set for 30 October 2021, the festival is also partnering with the live event organisation LifeStyle Edge.

In addition to world premiere screenings, the wide variety of programming includes keynotes, Q&As, red carpet meet-ups, a gala and much more. Taking place in the heart of the capital, Buffer Festival London boasts both live and virtual elements.
About bringing Buffer Festival to London, CEO Scott Benzie said, “Creators from the UK have always been part of the bedrock of Buffer programming – in a strange way it’s a kind of homecoming for the festival.”
More than just seeing a movie, this is a truly unique experience. Not only will audiences see digital work as they’ve never experienced it before, but Buffer Festival London also provides that rare chance to meet the filmmakers and hear their behind-the-scenes stories.
