Brandon Flowers rose to fame as frontman of Las Vegas rock band The Killers. The band helped to bring eighties synth music to a generation too young to remember it the first time around. Drawing influence from bands including Psychedelic Furs, New Order and Echo and the Bunnymen, The Killers made their multi-platinum début with the 2004 album Hot Fuss.

Born in 1981, Brandon Flowers grew up in Utah and embarked upon a music career after moving to Las Vegas with his family. Flowers heard the song Changes by David Bowie and realised that he wanted to be part of the music industry. After dabbling with the keyboards and playing in various bands, Flowers decided that rock music was his true calling. In 2001 he answered a newspaper advertisement and joined forces with other musicians to form The Killers.

The band have released three other albums, Sam's Town, Day & Age and Battle Born. All four albums achieved No. 1 in the UK and the Republic of Ireland, selling an estimated 22 million albums worldwide. The band have previously completed three headline concert tours and have won several accolades for their music including two BRIT Awards, seven Grammy nominations and four NME awards. After six successful years performing with The Killers, Flowers launched a solo career in 2010. His album, Flamingo, achieved No. 1 in the UK and topped the charts in several other countries. The first single from the album, Crossfire, was released in the same year. The video featured actress Charlize Theron and was nominated for Best Video at the NME Awards.

In addition to his solo career and work with The Killers, Brandon Flowers is a renowned fashion icon, championing his own unique style and winning the Most Stylish Person award at the Shockwaves NME Awards 2011. In 2010 Brandon played for Barack Obama with The Killers at the White House on Independence Day. Brandon Flowers continues to have friends in high places, rubbing shoulders with Elton John, U2's Bono and Bruce Springsteen and has also been the inspiration for a Rufus Wainwright song. Wainwright penned the song Tulsa after meeting Flowers in a bar. The song which is taken from the album, Release the Stars, contains lyrics which compare Brandon Flowers to Marlon Brando.
