About
boygenius announce shows at Gunnersbury Park and The Piece Hall
boygenius, the indie folk-rock supergroup comprising of Lucy Dacus, Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker, have announced two huge UK shows for summer 2023. The band will play London's Gunnersbury Park on Sunday 20 August and The Piece Hall Halifax on Tuesday 22 August. These shows accompany news of boygenius' debut album The Record, set for release 31 March. Pre-order The Record here.
boygenius released their self-produced debut EP boygenius together back in 2018. The release of“$20,” “Emily I’m Sorry,”and “True Blue” marks the first new music from the band since 2020, when they released a handful of demos from the recording sessions for the EP to raise money for charitable organizations in their respective hometowns on behalf of the Downtown Women's Center of Los Angeles, OUTMemphis, and Mutual Aid Distribution Richmond. The long-awaited album is produced and written by boygenius. It was recorded at Shangri-la Studios in Malibu, California.
The band's show at The Piece Hall will feature support from Ethel Cain, who also joins Gunnersbury Park with MUNA.
