  • Great fun but busy

by Jburdy on 01/01/2025Battersea Power Station - LondonRating: 4 out of 5

Glide at Battersea is absolutely stunning!! The whole set up with the Christmas theme was lovely and looks even better in the dark. The whole process of getting boots and putting bags in the cloakroom was efficient and quick. The only slight issue wa the large number of people actually on the ice. It took quite some time to actually get on the ice as everyone wants to hold the side initially. We waited a good 8-10 mins to get on the ice which is significant when the session is only 45 mins. We felt we couldn't skate around as freely as we would have liked as there are soo many people on the ice in each session. You constantly run the risk of being taken out by someone who is t very stable, a proficient skater or a child with a penguin. We just felt slightly fewer people per session would have made for a better experience but overall it was fab!!

  • Lovely experience

Well run event in a stunning location we had a lovely time, although the skates were quite blunt and the ice was very wet never seen so many people falling to be honest but it didn't detract from the experience

  • It was okay… there are better rinks in London

by Sarah on 22/12/2024Battersea Power Station - LondonRating: 3 out of 5

Staff were not attentive all the way through the journey of showing tickets right through to collecting boots. Ice rink was way too wet on the day and big puddles of water everywhere. Skate boots were not sharp enough / had uneven sharpening of the blade. The rink has way too many people on at one time. They should limit this as it was difficult to skate properly around so many adults and children. Will definitely not return. Skate at Somerset house is a much better experience.

  • Was fun

by Lulu on 17/12/2024Battersea Power Station - LondonRating: 4 out of 5

The ice skating was fun, but it was quite crowded. It said to arrive 40 minutes early but my friend and I got there 20 minutes early then were waiting for a while. The ice skating was very fun overall and the photographers on the ice and the photo machine was great, lovely Christmas tree in the middle of the ice aswell. Great atmosphere and lots of fun things to do around the ice rink aswell, helter scelter slide and other rides and food options. However, I did accidentally buy my ticket for the wrong time and was not able to get a refund or exchange it, apart from that it was a lovely day out.

  • Overcrowded - not worth the money

by Mart on 15/12/2024Rating: 2 out of 5

As regular skaters who visit various ice rinks in London on a weekly basis, we were excited to try the rink at Battersea Power Station for the first time. Unfortunately, it ended up being both our first and last visit. The rink was overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy skating, as there was barely any space to glide - it felt more like walking on ice. To make matters worse, the skates provided were not properly sharpened, which greatly affected the experience. It's such a shame, especially since the atmosphere around Battersea Power Station itself was lovely and festive. We had high hopes but were left disappointed.

  • Beautiful setting but could be better

by Nadine on 15/12/2024Battersea Power Station - LondonRating: 4 out of 5

The setting itself was stunning and the rink was well maintained. As with most ice rinks, it was very oversold and the rink was too busy, resulting in pile ups of people falling over. The ticket also asked you to arrive 40 minutes before your allotted time (which we did think was a long time!), but when we arrived the man working seemed confused and said 40 minutes was not necessary and we were to return only 10 minutes or so before. Overall a nice experience but could be made better if they reduced the maximum capacity.

  • Fun, well organised. Awesome venue

Easy to book. Good friendly staff and well organised. Super location. Turn music up a bit please.

  • Feeling Christmassy in November!

by Daniel on 12/11/2024Rating: 5 out of 5

Great day out with the family. No issues getting in and getting the skates on. Beautiful place for an ice rink, feels very surreal. Just need more practice, will be back in December.

  • Too long, too expensive

by Holiday Skater on 10/11/2024Rating: 1 out of 5

What a shame all tickets are packaged as three+ hours and skates rental. Why not simply offer an hour on ice? And offer discount to those with their own skates? Simply put, I will not skate at Battersea because of the lack of options. There are many other places in London to skate this holiday season without that. Battersea clearly caters to party groups, not families or those wanting to enjoy a bit of season on the ice.

  • Good Fun

by Michelle on 10/11/2024Battersea Power Station - LondonRating: 5 out of 5

Nice ice skating rink, didn't queue long to get in, was not over crowded and ice skating boots were comfortable. Was good fun.
