Billy Joel announces only European shows of 2025 for Edinburgh and Liverpool
One of the most popular recording artists and respected entertainers in history, Billy Joel is the sixth best-selling recording artist of all time and the third best-selling solo artist, as well as one of the biggest concert draws in the world. Joelโs songs have acted as personal and cultural touchstones for millions of people across five decades.
Having sold 160 million records over the past quarter century, the hits have continued for almost five decades, scoring 33 consecutive Top 40s. Joel has received the RIAAโs Diamond Award twice for Greatest Hits Volume I & Volume II and The Stranger, presented for albums that have sold over 10 million copies. He is the recipient of 23 GRAMMY nominations and six GRAMMY Awards, including the prestigious Grammy Legend Award.
Joel has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Songwriterโs Hall of Fame, and has received numerous awards including a TONY Award for โMovin' Outโ, The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, the once-in-a-century ASCAP Centennial Award. In December 2023, Joel announced his only European show of 2024 would be at Cardiff Principality Stadium on Friday 9 August. Joined by Chris Isaak, this special show also marked Joel's first visit to the city.
In September 2024, Billy Joel announced his only European performances in 2025, playing Scottish Gas Murrayfield, Edinburgh on 7 June and Anfield Stadium, Liverpool on 21 June. The dates will mark Joel's first time playing in Edinburgh for 46 years, and his first time playing Liverpool in 45 years โ both set to become part of his enduring legacy.

Absolutely loved this concert. Billy on top form and still sounds very good. I was lucky enough to see him 25+ years ago in Glasgow at the SECC. Getting back to see him after all that time was fantastic. Loved the atmosphere and the Principality stadium is a great venue. One of the best concerts I've been too and Billy is one of my all time favourites. Fabulous!
Fantastic concert in Principality Stadium. Sat beside a family from Barnsley that knew all the songtexts perfectly, but that were totally tone deaf. Billy Joel sang, and the family shouted it all out. Billy Joel delivered :)

Billy Joel was superb. The acoustics in the Principality Stadium are great. The Arena was easily accessible and the stewards were very friendly and helpful. A fantastic evening overall.
I've been lucky to see Billy Joel in concert a number of times. He still gives a fabulous performance ably assisted by a great band. Here's hoping he comes back to UK next year.
What a concert! All the best known hits, superb musicianship, a funny lead man and surprises! The only one of my favourites missing was "Hey Girl"which may not be in the stage repertoire anyway. Taking "River of Dreams"into "River Deep Mountain High"was a great tribute to the late Tina Turner, led brilliantly by the powerful voice of Crystal Taliefero, followed almost immediately by the stunning "Nessun Dorma"sung by Mike DelGuidice and leading in to "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant". Throw in "My Life"with Billy's daughter Della Rose in charge and the roof was near to being lifted off! Matched the Springsteen concert in May! Six stars, 12 out of 10! Brilliant!

This is our 4th time seeing Billy and he never fails to perform. In fact every concert gets better!! The tickets are expensive, we paid ยฃ168 each but you get a lot for you money, over 2 hours on stage and over 20 fabulous songs!! Please don't ever retire Billy , one of the greatest entertainers out there!!!

Billy was amazing! I waited 14 years to see him and was not disappointed! I don't know how he managed to perform for 2.5hrs, but it was fantastic - and a great set list too. Would definitely go again.
