Breaking through in 1990, Bikini Kill are credited with starting the Riot Grrrl movement through their politically charged lyrics, zines and confrontational live shows.
The band released three studio albums throughout their career, 1991’s Revolution Girl Style Now!, 1993’s Pussy Whipped and the 1996 record Reject All American before disbanding in 1997.
Some of the Bikini Kill’s most well-known tracks include New Radio, Rebel Girl, Double Dare Ya and Feels Blind.
The iconic feminist punk rockers have recently confirmed their first London show in 23 years. The gig at O2 Academy Brixton this June will be the band’s only European show of the year.
Bikini Kill’s original line-up of Kathleen Hanna, Tobi Vail and Kathi Wilcox will be joined by Dawn Lyle on guitar.
