Mogwai's self-curated festival: Big City
Scottish post-rock royalty Mogwai's Big City festival returns for its second year, with Lankum, Gryff Rhys, Prolapse, Rev Magnetic, Skloss and Tristwch Y Fenywod the first names to be announced.
Once again partnering with Regular Music, the all dayer takes place on Saturday 16 August at the Kelvingrove Bandstand, Glasgow.

This was my first time at the venue using accessibility. Unfortunately the girl at the entrance didn't know what accessibility meant and pointed me to the picnic area or 'maybe I would find a seat inside'. Staff at the accessible platform were very helpful and friendly. Accessible platform wasn't in a great location and had restricted view due to the tent pilot structure as well as close to entrance/exit door where a very cold wind blew right through. Despite it being June temperatures were very cold. I wondered if placement of the platform could be reconsidered for future events and if in front of the sound desk might be a better view with no restrictions and not in direct route of wind blowing through the tent. Accessible access did not extend to the second tent so unable to comment on the band experience in there. The bands in the main tent were great. Sound and lighting were fab. Surprised there was no warning of strobe lights throughout the gigs which did cause concerns for some others around about us.
Wow, what a line-up. Please do it all again next year! Well organised and thoroughly enjoyed it, thank you ☺️
Great lineup and sound, crew super laid back and friendly. But why was Michael Rother second on??? He should have been in the top three.
