About Beka Trio

Beka Gochiashvili will be playing three dates in Ireland on the 25th in Dolan’s of Limerick, 26th in the Radisson, Galway and the 27th March in St. Ann’s Church, Dawson Street, Dublin. A superstar in the making this will be a very unique opportunity to see what will possibly the most exciting young talent to play in Ireland this year in any music genre. Still only at the tender age of eighteen he has compiled such an impressive CV it hard to imagine how he can improve on it in the next eighteen years!

At the age of twelve he participated in the Saulkrasti Jazz Festival, Latvia were he came to the attention of Lenny White and Victor Bailey. During that year he performed for the US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice.
At thirteen he became the youngest winner of The Piano Competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival.
At fourteen he was performing at Birdland in NYC. At fifteen he was re-united with Lenny White, Victor Bailey and Lionel Loueke leading the Beka Gochiashvili Quintet at the Black Sea Jazz Festival. At sixteen Beka was performing at the Blue Note, NYC with his own trio. The same year he performed at the Lincoln Center in an event presented by Chick Corea – Musicians of the Future along side John Patitucci, Ravi Coltrane, Wallace Rooney and Marcus Gilmore. He recorded his first album Beka Gochiashvili, produced by Lenny White and with a star studded line- up that included Stanley Clarke, Victor Baily, Wallace Rooney, John Patitucci and Ben Solomon.

At eighteen he was touring regularly, including a tour of Europe, with The Stanley Clarke Band. He also graduated from Juilliard.
