About

One-day wellness and music festival with a Balearic spirit

Launched in 2021, Beat Retreat is a one-day music and wellness festival in London, merging the best beats with great food and calming wellness therapies.

Announced in April 2021, Beat Retreat's debut was set for Saturday 7 August 2021. The tranquil setting of Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath was chosen to guarantee the perfect backdrop for a day of healthy pursuits, such as yoga, stretching, mindfulness and meditation along with holistic talks and seminars from cutting-edge wellness practitioners. All the above is in the service of fostering an environment where attendees could break free of the walls built up in recent times and get back into nature.

Beat Retreat complements all these activities with DJs and live music. The line-up is topped by Tom Findlay of Groove Armada alongside DJ sets from Zero 7 and Rob Da Bank.

Of course, no all-dayer is complete without a wide range of food and beverages. Beat Retreat’s food and drink offerings focuses on all the wholesome and locally sourced selections that the discerning healthy hedonist requires.

Beat Retreat’s 2021 headliners

Tom Findlay – Findlay is one half of Groove Armada – the electronic duo behind the hits I See You Baby and Superstylin' – and Sugardaddy. As a solo artist, Findlay collaborated with The Glimmers, Joakim, Magik J, Riton, the Aliens and Phreek Plus One on his continuous mix Watch The Ride.

Zero 7 – London duo Zero 7 (Henry Binns and Sam Hardaker) scored a Mercury Prize nomination with their 2001 debut album Simple Things. They released the EP Shadows in late 2020 after a five-year absence.

Rob Da Bank – DJ, Radio One host and co-founder of the Bestival and Camp Bestival music festivals, Rob's live DJ sets explore colourful corners of the musical universe.
