International Double Header at Twickenham Stadium

Springboks v Wales | Barbarians v Fiji

Four heavyweights of world rugby will grace the Twickenham Stadium turf in an historic double header of fixtures – with a clash between South Africa and Wales (K.O. 14:00) followed by Barbarians vs Fiji (K.O. 17:15).

For the world champion Springboks, it will be a first return to action since they lifted the Webb Ellis Cup at the Stade de France back in October, beating New Zealand 12-11 in a tense Rugby World Cup 2023 final. Rassie Erasmus’ side, who top the world rankings, will be preparing for a mouth-watering home series against Ireland in July.

Meanwhile, Wales will also be gearing up for their own summer tour, with Warren Gatland’s side heading Down Under to face Australia in July.

The second edition of the Qatar Airways Cup will precede the clash between a Barbarians side led by Kiwi coach Robbie Deans, and the Flying Fijians – who set pulses racing with their high-octane style of play at Rugby World Cup 2023, on their way to a first quarter-final appearance in 16 years.

The Barbarians will feature England players Danny Care, Zach Mercer, Jonathan Joseph, Jonny May, David Ribbans, Mako Vunipola, Kyle Sinckler and Ben Youngs – as they take on Rugby World Cup Quarter-Finalists Fiji for the Killik Cup.

Fantastic afternoon of rugby. Two great games, incredible atmosphere. Awesome venue. Only criticism was that a lot of the food vendors ran out of food.

Ticketmaster was easy to use to book our tickets. Tickers were downloaded in a timely manner. Transferring the individual tickets was easy as well. I recommend you use Ticketmaster. We are satisfied customers.

It was an amazing game , the crown was so much but very smooth entry.

  • Great Rugby but could be better organised

by Rob on 23/06/2024Rating: 4 out of 5

The rugby was good and it was a good idea to schedule 2 games with a lengthy gap in between games. However, the queues for food and drink were extremely long and slow moving. Also, the issue of bringing bags in needs to be addressed. I brought a small bag that was needed to store medication, drinks bottle and glasses but was refused entry - it had been allowed in before. I had to place it in storage which left me without these items, had to go into another 20 minute queue, and was expensive for what it was.

  • Great event, wrong seat

by Nick on 23/06/2024Rating: 4 out of 5

Great event but seat changed without any notification. I accept that it may have been felt that the seat was a better seat, but not for me, as I had chosen my seat to take photos. People around me had had their seats changed as well without notice, It seams if you booked a single ticket early, the seat was changed with no warning.

  • Great game but

by Oscar on 23/06/2024Rating: 3 out of 5

Great games and great crowd interaction but bars ran out of beer and food why ? Two matches back to back surely they would have done the maths. Getting to ground is poor and away worse RFU need to look into transport links.

  • Poor customer catering service

by Jarvcolin on 23/06/2024Rating: 3 out of 5

Double header, two full rugby games. Great seats in the East Stand in a top quality stadium. Accessing stadium trouble free, good toilet facilities etc. everyone paid for two full games but by the end of the first game most food, soft drinks, water and beer (apart from Guinness) in the East stand at least had run out, effectively half way through the event. Really poor planning in a world class stadium.

Horrendous queues s usual and unbelievable that there are no air driers instead of rolls but rugby was good

  • Ups and Downs - Mostly Downs

The overall experience at the stadium was disappointing. First of all, my husband was unable to get any internet connection on his phone to access his e-ticket (it had been fine up until then) so we had to go to the Ticket Office where a lady very kindly printed off paper tickets for both of us. Our enjoyment of the first game was marred by people thinking it was a good idea to make paper aeroplanes out of the Qatar Airways posters and throw them into other spectators. Not a good plan. During the interval between the two games we tried to get some food. Most of the outlets in South Stand had run out of supplies and we then had to queue for over half an hour outside to get two portions of chips. Prices of food and drinks were high and overall we didn't have the best of experiences. But the rugby was good.
