A musical celebration of the fantastic world of hobbits and elves

The imaginary world of JRR Tolkien’s masterpieces will be brought to life in a one-of-a-kind musical event.

The Lord Of The Rings And The Hobbit: The Concert is a two-hour performance featuring a symphonic orchestra and choir. They will capture the magic of both masterpieces The Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings by performing the films’ Oscar-winning music composed by Howard Shore.

Set for two UK shows at Shaftesbury Theatre in London 12 December 2021 and Bath Forum on 16 December 2021, the event showcases The Shire Choir And Philharmonic Orchestra and the State Academic Symphony Orchestra Of The Republic Of Belarus, along with special guests from Peter Jackson’s beloved films.

Attendees will not only be immersed in Shore’s stunning score – ripe with his sophisticated leitmotif technique – but there will also be sounds of Mordor as well as piercing attacks from the Black Riders and the ethereal melodies of the elves. Plus, fans will have all their senses peaked with the theatres transformed into a setting evocative of Middle Earth.
